|
|
I am looking for a recipe called "snowballs" I think. They were made using cream, cream cheese, and splenda. Then they were made into balls and frozen so you can pop one in your mouth when you are craving something sweet. I like to eat it right after it is made cuz it tastes like cheese cake. I juist can't remember how much cream and I think it was 8 splenda packets. Also when do I add the cream and do I whip the cream first or what. Help!! _________________

Here's one that sounds like it, that was posted on the old forum last year. Sounds like same thing, just another name (names).
Hope it helps.
Cheesecake Balls

68.61.174.176
8 ounces Cream Cheese
Splenda
1 Squares Unsweetened Chocolate
1 Teaspoon Cream
1/3 Cup Splenda
1 Stick Butter
Mix Cream Cheese w/ splenda to taste add nuts and roll into balls. Freeze.
Melt unsweetened chocolate, butter and 1/3 Cup Splenda., add cream for consistency
Coat cheese balls in chocolate. Put them in the freezer.
Easy Variation:
Mix up some cream cheese (whipped mixes easier) with splenda and cinnamon and place those in the freezer. _________________ Billie

This sounds yummy. I was looking for the one that only had 3 ing. and taht was cream, cream cheese and splenda. I have to try and stay away from chocolate right now. But thanks for this! I know that I will again be able to have som chocolate without going nuts and I will try these then.

You know, it is really funny. I remembered having saved this recipe, looked for it and found it. It had been a long time. I really didn't look closely enough to notice that it had the chocolate. I do think you could use this recipe to make the snowballs, by just leaving the chocolate out.
Here is another one that I found. I think it is actually the one I was looking for before. It has butter instead of cream tho. There is actually at least another one called Clouds, but it is nothing like these.
Clouds
Take out a cookie sheet and put some waxed paper or parchment on it.
8oz cream cheese (room temperature)
1/2c butter (room temperature)
1/2c splenda
Blend well. Drop by spoonfuls onto the paper. These are very rich and creamy so use small spoonfuls. You should get 40 dollops from this recipe. Freeze until firm and baggie.
32g carbs for the total recipe.

Yes, clouds! That was the name of them!! But it had cream in the ones I made. I just can't remember if I whip the cream then add the cream cheese or do I whip them both together at the same time. ?? I am at a loss. But it was so good. Are these good? _________________

I'm sure you could use cream instead of butter, but I'm really not sure how much to use either. I've been looking online to see if I couldn't find a recipe that used cream instead, and haven't found one.
Maybe you could just add a tablespoon of cream, and check consistency, then add more if you think you need it. I don't think you have to whip it first. ???
Wish I could have helped more. _________________ Billie
