Morning everyone! Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend.
I've been AWOL for a little while - wrapped up with graduation (yay! finally got my degree) moving preparations, and trying to get myself in order. I hadn't stepped on the scale in a while and my jeans were starting to get a little tight... Stepped on it this morning and ouch! I am up 6 pounds. I can account for about 3, but the other 3 are a mystery. Sadly it doesn't make a difference how it got here it's just my job now to lose it.
As of Tuesday I will be going back to the beginning of my weight loss journey - 5 days of fat fasting to get into ketosis (the only way I can do it) and then a month of induction.
One of the biggest realizations I had was that I tend to gain weight more when I don't visit the forum than when I make coming here and participating a part of my daily routine. So thanks, everyone, for making the forum and this group such a supportive place to be. With any luck (and a lot of hard work) I will manage to lose 10 pounds by the time I move in July. Fingers crossed. |

Hi, all! Let's keep this among the Cathys! Or not! I've been gone to AZ, visiting my son and the Grand Canyon. Interesting state and so different from GA! We "would" have 3 digit temperatures while there!
Anyway, all that Mexican food was not necessarily bad for my weight loss. Walking a mile down into the canyon and along the rim helped. I gained a couple of pounds but managed to lose it already. Since I've been back, I had to bake my daughter's birthday cake and then a cake for a small group party tonight and the traditional potato salad tomorrow. I'm off the diet somewhat for a few days, but will jump back aboard, definitely when said daughter goes to London for 6 weeks.
I have a visit to the doctor on Tues., so should be interesting to hear what he says about the loss of 20 lbs. and what my goal should be!
Will try to catch up on things on the general forum.

Since Saturday I have done a ton of walking and watched everything I ate. Drank all my water, and ta da: down 2 pounds!
This forum is really keeping me going. No more slipping - I'm back on the straight and narrow & keeping within my carb limits. |
