If you already exercise regularly, don't even read any further please.

This challenge is for those of you like me....I do not exercise.

Sure, I park away from the doors at the store, but does that do it if it is essentially your only exercise? Do you get a bad case of tennis elbow from scrounging through the sale racks? Or a back ache from sitting in front of the computer too long?

I don't know about you, but I have a gym in my house. I use it all the time...I use it to walk through to get to the laundry room, I use the treadmill to hang my delicates to dry, I use the super fabulous steppping machine to stack boxes on, and I use the exercise bike - heck I don't use it for anything except a dust catcher! I think I sold the weight stuff at my garage sale when my squeeze wasn't looking cuz I have not seen it in a while. Heck, it might be there I never even really look over that way!

Now, those of you up to this super duper exercise challenge for the exercisedly challenged please sign on! Starting tomorrow I will try to reclaim the machines. Well, I think I will maybe start by walking every day for a bit. I might strain myself clearing the stuff off those machines!!!!

I'm in. I have an ellitical trainer, recumbent bike, and a weight bench in the garage. No excuse. Tonight I'll look for those little purple dumb bells. Time to make this a priority.

Bambam and AmelieWannabe glad to see you.

Foxye, you're walking at 3am? Wow.

Hmmmm....I cannot believe that there are only 3 of us. I guess we are the only ones brave enough to admit it and take the challenge!!!!!!!!

Today I moved some boxes off the stepper. Then I had to go through them and gave some stuff to Goodwill and threw some stuff out. And then I dusted off the bike. Then I walked Buster again but only lasted 20 minutes cuz it was so freakin hot.

One more day of moving boxes and I should be able to use the stepper. The bike is now ready for use. My delicates will be dry by tomorrow and the treadmill will also be ready. So I guess tomorrow I will have to stick my toe in and test the exercise waters. I just hate to sweat!

Well, I have to admit that I am an exercise machine and gadget collector. Embarassed I have not exercised consistently for a longggg time. But, yesterday I went back to Curves. I felt good about going and good about myself too. I like it because I am not a self-starter and I need structure. I had joined last Feb but had to stop going in May because of an accident .The dr cleared me to go back on Monday. Soo I am going to be consistent. Does that make me challenge worthy?? Question Then count me in.

Yay Kay!

Well, it was another sleepless night last night so poor Buster had to get dragged around town for an hour.

I did the bike for 10 minutes. No comments please, 10 minutes is better than no minutes!

I tried to take a walk on the beach midday but it was way too freakin hot. We are not supposed to walk on the beach at night this time of year because of the turtles.

Treadmill with hand weights? Power to you Shannon! You get the "power girl Wednesday" title.

Darn, now I have to go scrounge for my handweights. This may be too much inspiration for me Shannon!

Foxye, I sure can identify with the sleeplessness. I have good nites and bad nites. Seems like I lose a day if I dont sleep. I also live off caffein on those days. Wink
I am off to Curves this morning and then watching my 4 year old grandson so my Low Carb DD can do her workout. She is on a plateau and a little discouraged. I have a sister who is on WW Core program and has lost 30 pounds and reached her goal. Different strokes... DD is a little jealous but the same time she knows that too many carbs stimulate her appetite. I know that the Woosh Fairy will soon visit her! Smile

Yes, your daughter will have a melt soon! I have a lot of problems sleeping, the slightest change in routine sets me off! I go to bed at midnite and get up about 5 normally as I do not need a lot of sleep. But then I have a series of bad nights....I did sleep well last night tho!

I hit the treadmill today for 5 minutes, then 15 minutes on the bike. Also showed that 5.35 acre piece of property I have listed so trekked for an hour through the dense jungle. It is funny, you cannot tell where you are as it is so thick. I have not gotten lost yet, I have a good sense of direction thankfully! That is exercise.

Slow starter Wink

Alrighty then... Kay and Foxye - you guys are doing great!

My exercise yesterday was hanging paintings, moving furniture around, and so on and so forth... does it still count? Wink

Today I KNOW my exercise counts... I RAKED, I actually RAKED for like 2 HOURS!!! I hate raking... but we have an ongoing battle with a HUGE poison ivy vine that got into our Oak tree and I guess we finally won cuz it dropped ALL it's leaves all over our lawn! I'm not allergic, but the rest of the family is, so guess who got to rake! LOL lucky me! But it WAS exercise! LOL

So, what'd you two do today??

Actually, Friday was my Physical Therapy day and they work me pretty hard. I can't go to Curves on the day I have therapy (doctors order) so today I will go to Curves and work hard!! Very Happy
Oh, Shannon, I remember the leaves. In the last 2 houses we lived in (my husband gets transferred a lot) we had lots of trees and lots of leaves. he always asked me when house-hunting if I was sure I wanted all those trees! So since I picked the trees, I also raked a lot. Never was too good with the leaf blower though on the driveway. Sad

Hey Foxye - hope you have room for one more in the challenge. Since I moved, I lost the exercise room (in my old apartment building) but I do have some equipment at home. Haven't joined a gym because I'm looking for work right now and don't want to spend the extra money. Allergies stopped me from running until the first frost, so I've been sitting on my butt watching it grow, lol.

I have hand weights, resistance bands and a stepper, so I'm going to make a commitment - 20 minutes of strength training per day + whatever cardio strikes me as fun (walking the dog, using the stepper or dancing to a great song). My goal is to tone up my arms by the time I wear that strapless dress in November. No more excuses for me!
