Why do we use soy flour in book 1 and almond flour in book 2?
why does book 1 call for no low fat products and book 2 recommends some?
there are a ton more....but I amswered these here _________________ Starting: 467 Current: 205 Goal: 190

Kay, I agree, something the site needs more than anything is some info about how to reach your goals at the end.
I'll be posting some new pages soon with tips on how to let in higher carb foods like fruits and grains and cutting out some high fat foods like heavy cream, etc. when you're reaching your goal. _________________ -Anthony Stella

After reading tons of posts and finding some wonderful comments by Christian and Anthony, I was certainly inspired. The problem is that the rest of the thread is sometimes questionable . I had forgotten some of the folks who were 'not too happy here' who have since left and deleted their names. So I did not copy the threads. I will keep looking.

Kay, you can email me links to any posts that have the good info. I've decided against having links to posts in the new section. Instead I'll create new pages like the Getting Started and Grocery Shopping pages on the main page. I'll be updating those too. _________________ -Anthony Stella

A list of sugars, in no particular order:
»sugar
»sucrose
»glucose
»fructose
»maple syrup
»molasses
»dextrose
»turbinado
»amazake
»sorbitol
»carob powder
»corn syrup solids
»corn syrup
»fructose corn syrup
»high fructose corn syrup
Plus nowadays, nature food co.'s try to get away with things like the following:
»cane juice crystals
»dehydrated cane juice crystals
»unrefined cane juice crystals
»raw cane crystals
»washed cane juice crystals
»Florida crystals (trademarked name)
»unbleached evaporated sugar cane juice crystals
»crystallized cane juice
»unbleached crystallized evaporated cane juice
»organic dehydrated cane juice
»unbleached sugar cane
»evaporated cane juice
»evaporated cane juice sugar
Did I forget anything? I left out a bunch of sugar alcohols that aren't really sugar anymore. _________________ -Anthony Stella

I've added a couple links to the original post at the top and will continue to in order to keep this thread super-handy until the new section is up. _________________ -Anthony Stella

Hi Anthony,
I found the grocery shopping info. very helpful. I was also wondering if you could give us an example of say a weeks worth of meals for the Stellas as you began the journey, and how that's evolved and been tweaked over time as you got closer to goal. Maybe this has already been addressed, and if so, can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

what is the status of this project? The last posting was a while ago and I can't wait to view it. I'm new to the site and know this would be of great value to me.
Also, George had a post on changes from book one to book 2....
recommending almond flour in book 2, soy flour in book 1
using some low fat products in book 2, staying away from them in book 1.
The posts says answers have been provided, but I can't find them.
I would love answers to these questions. Please help! |
