Todays menu:

B=2 hb eggs (and I do mean HARD boiled!) sausage links
L=leftover brisket and broccoli casserole
S=tablespoon of butter right out of the fridge
D=seseme chicken stir fry, LC almond cookie

water= missed goal 50 oz
vit/supp= yes
exercise= no
thesis=yes, and still going.

Have a great day all! Keep up the great work - I'll be weighing in on Saturday. Not sure if or how any of you are measuring success but I'm really proud that since I started this I have not eaten any junk and have not eaten off plan. Yeah! and Thanks!

Happy Friday! I’m so sorry I didn’t post yesterday, I stayed home from work with a migraine Confused and never even got on the computer. And today it’s been very hectic here at work with it being a Friday added to the fact that I was out yesterday. Crazy Eyes

Jen…I’lll get that recipe posted, I promise… I’ve never actually counted the carbs in it, but I think it’s pretty high because of the tomatoes and the onion. Probably better for a maintenance meal, but I was craving it, so I made it anyway! Ps… I have ruined pans Dizzy boiling eggs and forgetting them! Good job catching it in time! Cool

Hey Deb!!! Very Happy

Anyway… here’s my menus for the past few days…

THURSDAY
B = 3C COFFEE, LC ALMOND POUND CAKE, TOASTED W/BUTTER
L = SLICE OF CHEESECAKE
D = GRILLED CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD

WEDNESDAY
B = 2 C COFFEE, 2 HB EGGS
L = MEATLOAF, CUSTARD CUP
D = POT ROAST W/TURNIPS
S = LC ALMOND POUND CAKE

ooooh migraine. (whince) I get those too. Shannon, hope you are doing well today. Take it easy and be extra nice to yourself.

Howdy All! Today was *Biz-eee*. Thank goodness for all that extra low carb energy. I've been putting it to good use at work and writing.

So proud of me: resisted all the carby sweets and drinks at my breakfast meeting today. Things continue to go well, except for the exercise. My exercise buddy at work is on vacation, (poor excuse) but I am so not motivated on my own. I know it would help with losing around my hips which is going much slower than the rest of me. ah well. one thing at a time.

Todays menu:

B= 2 sausage links and LC almond protein cookie
L=leftover chicken parikash and broccoli casserole
D=graze on leftovers from fridge, probably brisket and salad.

water= workin on it, 50 oz so far
vit/supp= morning yes
exercise= no
thesis=yes, hacking out workable draft by Sunday.

see y'all tomorrow.

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there! Very Happy
Happy Saturday all!!!

Hey Jen & Deb... I was feeling pretty good yesterday (compared to Thursday!), the migraine was gone but it was lurking, if you know what I mean. So, I took a couple excedrin migraine which have caffeine... well, I'm used to 2-3 cups of coffee per day max... cannot drink it in the evening, yada, yada... well, with taking those excedrin, then my coworker brought in a french vanilla, black coffee for me and I couldn't resist! Crazy Eyes Can you say caffeine overload? LOL Man, was I amped all day! Took a sleep aid cuz I was afraid I might have a hard time sleeping and all was well... had a great nights sleep and I feel great this morning! Good thing too, cuz I have tons of stuff to get done! Shocked

Jen, I'm in the same boat as far as the exercise goes... I have to get myself in a routine and make it habit. But we're going out of town to a wedding next week end so I know this week is gonna be hectic, so if you're up for it maybe we can set a tentative date of Tues, 10/24 to start our exercise routines... even if it's only 20 minutes per day - we'll be online exercise buddies! Let me know what you think. Anyway here's my menu from yesterday...

FRIDAY...
B = 2c coffee, LC pound cake toasted w/butter
L = 2 naked burgers from BK (brought the buns home for my pup!)
D = pot roast w/turnips
S = couple slices bologna w/mayo

water=40 oz
vit/med=meds only
exercise=nope
meditate=nope

ps...Jen... good luck with your weigh in - my day for weigh in is Tuesdays, but as for your earlier question about how you measure success...I'm counting myself successful if I DON'T CHEAT (which I haven't) and if I continue to improve... drinking more water, meditating more regularly, starting an exercise routine... positive steps along the way to changing my way of life and sticking with it FOR GOOD this time!
Thanks for bringing that up! Very Happy We should all be proud of ourselves for our NO CHEAT success! Hug

Hey all - slept in today (lol. as usual). Weigh in good - another pound gone (humm, thought the jeans were looser). Normally I take it easy on Saturdays but I need to keep writing. Draft is due Monday, but I am leaving town tomorrow for work - driving across the state for meetings on Monday and then driving back - so the draft needs to be pulled together before I leave. I'm actually doing this sort of drive/meeting/drive two more times over the next three weeks. Crazy Eyes

I'm going to have to be prepared and vigilant while I'm on the road - lots of temptations! Evil or Very Mad I'm ready for it! Cool I may be able to take a laptop with me, so I can keep up with my online support.

Shannon - the exercise buddy thing sounds good (and everyone else feel free to join). Let's start the 24th. Even if I'm out of town part of that week its no excuse - every hotel has a workout room these days. I'm In!

edit: ok, so I was pretty sick much of the day and ended up only eating a salad with grilled chicken and ranch dressing and later made some comfort food: low carb choc chip cookies and a cup of chai. Not a reccomended healthy eating day but I had no desire to eat.

Hi everyone!

Still not feeling well, but had to drive across the state anyway so I can be here and ready for tomorrows meetings. Doing ok, but really don't like being in a hotel unless I'm vacationing with the DF.

Todays eating:
Brunch: scrambled eggs and bacon
S=lc choc chip cookie
D= (ate out) roasted pepper and artichoke soup, greek salad, grilled duck breast with sauted spinach and bell peppers...and I ate about 1/3 cup of cheesy polenta - totally not low carb - my first cheat! Sad Dessert: two LC choc chip cookies.

vit/supp: yes
water: maybe 40 oz...forgot to bring water bottle in car!

My hotel has a hot breakfast, hope there are some eggs! If not I'm going to find another place to eat. Catch you all later!

Hi everyone! I'm back. Didn't mean to be gone sooo long.. I have been under the weather with the flu. Am trying to stay with the chicken soup but am really getting tired of it as I was eating it before the flu came along. I am hoping to get back to work tomorrow. We'll see. Confused

I have a bunch of speghetti squash to cook up. Am wondering where the idea of roasting the seeds could be? I did a search but didn't have any luck. Do anyone catch that idea?

Needless to say, today has been broth, water, 7-up, chicken soup. And rest.. Will catch you all later.

Hi Kath - welcome back! sorry you have been sick and hope that you feel better soon.

I think the squash seeds would be edible, like pumpkin seeds with the husks on, but I've never tried it with spag squash. Wash off the slime, soak 'em in salt water, drain and roast at 350. Not sure how long, they should toast, but not have that overtoasted burnt flavor. Good luck and let us know.

ok. I promise to stop complaining about doing this WOE on the road but its so hard to calculate my intake on fitday when I've not cooked it myself...too many estimates. Also, I gotta cut back on the LC cookies - they may be sugar free, but they are not calorie free!!

B= cookies and tea with splenda
L= 1/2 chicken ceasar salad, tomato basil soup
D= Yeah! home cooked meal! Shepherds pie with cauli-mock-potato-topping.

Hope things are going ok. I'm so glad to be home.
