How is everyone doing?? I am soooooo tired. Could nap right here at my desk. I'm going to try and get some exercise in today anyway. Walked on Friday and Saturday, need to get some more movement in today too! Down another pound this AM. That leaves 11 more to the next mini-goal. I better get moving!!!! literally!!!
Join our exercise challenge starting tomorrow. Set your own goals and check in here to let folks know how you are doing. |

Hey all! I'm back... and I missed you all!!!
But the week end and the wedding were both wonderful! We had a great time seeing old friends, some of whom we hadn't seen in 20+ years!!!
I stayed true to low carb and I'm DOWN 2 MORE POUNDS!!! Yay me!
You know, while I was at the wedding reception I saw a picture of myself and after that I really didn't need any willpower at all - it was way easy to stick to plan since I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY disliked how I looked!... I think I'm gonna blow that picture up and put in on the fridge and keep a copy in my purse as well as a reminder!
Anyway... glad to be back! I haven't started the exercise challenge yet, but I will in the next few days... I promise! _________________ url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/whDwhiA/]

Welcome back Shannon - sounds like you had a great time! Congrats on sticking with it and on the ongoing weight loss.
Yesterday: I did walk but was very short - 15 min on break and that's not really going to do much unless I kick it up. Tonight I'm going to use my stepper: more intense for the legs and thighs (always first on and last off).
Today for the first time a co-worker noticed I have lost some weight; yeah! That was a great motivator to keep at it.
monday meals
B= skipped not good was really hungry and at lunch early
L=leftover beef and green been casserole, LC cookie
S=no nitrate salami, SF lemonade
D=smoked turkey drumstick (half) and 6 buenos jalapenos (stella recipe)
keep at it. For new folks: feel free to join in the challenge. |

Gosh its good to be home. Glad that's over with. We did get to stop at IKEA on the way home and I bought a new box grater and this handy thing to hang on the wall that organizes/dispenses plastic bags. Stayed mostly cheat free, and down another pound as of yesterday. Not sure I will make the 10 lb by Dec 15 - but this is working great anyway!
Friday dinner: Awesome itallian! mozzarella tomato appetizer, spinach salad with bacon, veal scaloppine with lemon caper sauce, cannoli , 2 martinis and a glass of white wine, mixed nuts (at bar).
Saturday
B = 2 sausage links, slice of bacon, slice of cantaloupe, 2 strawberries
L = swedish meatballs and gravy at IKEA!
D = hot wings w/ celery and bluecheese dressing, Mikes low-carb hard lemonade
Sunday
Brunch= roast duck and nappa cabbage salad
D = (antipasto) parm cheese chunks, olive salad, salami, 2 Wasa bread |

Jen! I'm back... if you'll have me???
I'm so sorry I haven't posted the past week - it's been positively hectic and crazy and stressful around my house lately! Hopefully, it's all done with and we can get back to "normal" life... LOL, whatever THAT is!
I've been doing pretty good, haven't started my exercise routine yet, but I've been keeping true to this WOL.
I'll start posting my menus again tomorrow (for today) when I have a little more time.
Anyway.. hope you have a great day! _________________ url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/whDwhiA/]

Shannon - you don't even have to ask! I figured things were pretty hectic for you this week...back from the wedding, etc. Hope that things are well.
In some ways for me being on the road for work makes thing so much easier - no cooking, no grocery shopping, no house to take care of, no phone calls, etc. Now back to real life: house is a mess, halloween tomorrow, still writing, gotta go back to the office tomorrow, yikes!
Anyway, welcome back. get back on track and then we can talk about an exercise challenge. I did some walking, but its not been enough to make a significant difference.

Jen...thanks.. you're a sweetie! Sounds great about the exercise challenge... we'll have to figure out what day is good for both of us to start. I really, really have to get back to it in order to lose weight (obviously) but also because we have our season passes (for skiing) and if I don't get some more muscle tone in these legs of mine I will be skiing one run and done! And THAT won't go over big with DH!
Anyway... my menu from yesterday was...
MONDAY
B = 3 hb eggs, 3c coffee w/liquid splenda & lite crm
L = rotisserie chicken
D = sf ham, smashed cauliflower
water = not enough... 30 oz maybe
vit/meds = meds only
exercise = nope
meditate = YEP  _________________ url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/whDwhiA/]

ok. Monday menu:
B= eggs and bacon
L= leftover duck and cabbage salad
S=2 LC cookies and chai
D=salami, parm cheese, 1 Wasa cracker (not too hungry)
Now that I'm back in the office for work I'm going to bring tennies and walk on my lunch hour. its dark when I get home.
Shannon - can you start this week? I looked at my schedule and I have every lunch free and not in meetings, so I can comitt to at least three walks. |

Jen... you know I can always come up with reasons why I can't start my exercise routine ... so I will answer YES I can start this week... I'll start tomorrow morning... DH will be sleeping in (late shift tomorrow) so I can't do the treadmill... but my dog will absolutely LOVE it if I take him out for an early morning stroll! Like they say - no time like the present! Thanks for the kick in the fanny... I needed it!
As for my menu... yesterday went like this...
TUESDAY
B = slice of sf ham, 3c coffee w/liquid splenda & lite crm
L = ham, smashed cauliflower
D = lc swedish meatballs with cream gravy
water = not enough... 30 oz maybe
vit/meds = meds only
exercise = nope
meditate = nope  _________________ url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/whDwhiA/]

|

Tuesday's Menu:
B= protein shake with berries, yogurt, almond milk, pro powder
L= soup with tofu, Thai chicken and noodles - ugh last time I do that for a while, my stomach was upset all afternoon and eve from the noodles excessive amounts of carbs.
D= pork chop and sauted pepper strips, 2 LC cookies and hot (almond milk) chocolate
NO HALLOWEEN CANDY! - DF ate a few, and the leftover are in the candy dish at work, where, oddly, I'm no longer tempted to eat them.
I also cannot believe I'm saying this but I am sick of the LC choc chip cookies I made. lolol. never thought I'd say that. I'll need to whip up something else this weekend; like muffins or pumpkin pound cake.
Exercise - Shannon I'm inspired! Here is my commitment for the day: today when I walk in the door I'm going straight to put on shoes and shorts and getting on the stepper/elliptical thing and doing as much as I can (at this point likely only 10 min). See you tomorrow with a report on how I did! |

Jen... I'm so sorry I didn't post yesterday (Thursday)... I was rushed at home getting ready for work because I DID EXERCISE , but didn't have time to get online. Then I got to work and it was so hectic it was nuts! I'm talking emergency problems with customers, one right after the other, so again... didn't have a chance to get online. Then... I ended up going home early due to a migraine! What a day! Anyway, doing much better today, but the migraine is still "lurking" so I didn't exercise this morning. So how has your exercise program been going so far??? I'm not gonna post what I ate yesterday because I'm not proud of it... just whatever was handy to nuke since DH was working late and couldn't fix me anything to eat...and I sure as heck didn't feel like cooking! So today is another day and I'll post my menu from today tomorrow morning! HOpe you're having a great day!

|

Hey Shannon, and the rest of y'all too!
This is my catch up email;
Wednesday menu:
B=fried egg, leftover buenos peppers
L=leftovers: half turkey drumstick, cabbage salad
D=roast chicken breast, cooked zucchini with parmesan cheese
exercise= Yes!! went for walk before dark instead of elliptical
vit/supp = Am only
water= hummm, a bit low maybe only 50 oz
Thursday:
B=berry protein shake
L=leftover pork chop, peppers
S=sliced cucumber, celery sticks, cheddar and swiss cheese
D=lamb shank slow cooked in tomato and wine (did them on wednesday night - this is a DF favorite), roasted celeriac and mushrooms
exercise = no
vit/supp = yes both
water= 64 oz plus
ugh, my sympathies on the migraine...its so weird that you had a migraine yesterday because I started getting those pre-migraine symptoms, took some meds, went home and ended up not getting one. was able to eat dinner although I was a lot more tired than usual. At any rate, I did not exercise Thursday because I tend to take it a bit easy when I feel one coming on.
I am going to exercise today. Working at home so I can get the DF involved in a walk later.
I'm impressed you can eat/do anything on a migraine day; any menu abberations are understandable. How are you feeling today? |
