Hi there. Havent checked in the last few days. It was just such a busy weekend. I have been mostly on track. and no the cheesecake is all gone. I am going to make some more today. I need some luck today. I woke up late today. So by the time I got the kids ready for the babysitter's house and got ready for work myself, I had no time for breakfast. AND I AM HUNGRY. Had some fish last night with some broccli and greenpeppers. ITS ALL GONE. I AM STARVING. Ill probably go out at lunch and have alowcarb subway wrap.

Oh those PB muffins sound so delicious. MMMMMMMMMMM Can eat them right now. Sorry!! I feel like cookie monster right now. Hmmm cookieeeee

hahahahahahaaa

Robyn i know what you mean...this is the best place to be. Confess all you want and you wont be judged. We have all been there sometime. We have all had some good and some bad days. and we can understand when someone slips. I just love being here.

Catch ya guys later. GTG cause i dont wanna be fired. hehehehehee

Hi everyone,

Great to see folks still poping in to the challenge. Its great to know you guys are here. I overate a bit yesterday on Easter, but mmmm was it good.

Easter:

B- steak, eggs, melon slice and 1/4 orange
L - babaganosh and 5 whole grain crackers
D-lamb shanks braised with tomato, onion and peppers, mashed celery root, peapods, cheesecake with strawberries.

Today:

B- protein shake
L- George's Jamacian BBQ ribs (cooked em yesterday while I was cleaning), one tsp regular bbq sauce, peapods
S- olive tapenade with 3 whole grain crackers
D- Anaheim shrimp scampi over mashed celery root, SF chocolate

Had sort of a tough day today, but am working it out. WARNING: the following rant only applies to me and my personal issues with weight loss. Your problem foods and my problem foods are likely not the same so don't take this as an example of what you need to do to at this point...

So, no weight loss for more than three weeks. Not too surprising when I look at my calorie intake (avg over 1700) and carb intake 48-58 (close to maintenance for me). I don't feel like I'm cheating, just that I am eating too much of stuff that I told myself I'd hold off on until I reached goal. The low carb wheat stuff is likly really slowing things down, as is the TON of dairy I've been eating. I've been craving cheese and crunchy stuff which are big comfort foods for me. Its been a stressful couple of weeks at work and not to get into too much detail but I'm putting way too much pressure on myself to meet unrealistic expectations. Had a tough day missing D's mom who we lost in November; I think it has something to do with Spring, and Easter (which we spent with them last year) and Mother's Day coming up (which we have celebrated with her the past 3 years). Today I'm just feeling how unfair it is that she's gone. D's attitude is much more positive lately; he's been remembering all the funny stuff she used to say and do. I wonder if I really had a chance to grieve because I was so focused on D and his Dad and spent so much time the three months after by myself while D was staying with his Dad. Whew. Heavy stuff for a challenge blog, but I think all the emotional stuff is really driving my eating habits and making this challenge all that much more challenging.

I would like to join the challenge too. I have fallen off the lowcarb wagon so many times before. I am at my wits end with myself and this body of mine. Something has to give and it has to be the weight!! Keep me in your prayers because I am going to need them!!! Take care everyone!

Jia - hope you feel better soon. Thank you for your concerns and support. I'm feeling much better event though it was a long tough week.

So...I cut out processed meats and cut back on the cheese this week. Hopefully it will help. Looking over my eating I've had way too much salt and if I'm going to eat that many carbs I need to cut back on the fat, or bring the carbs down a bit. Anyway - not going to reprise all my menus this week but here is yesterday and today.

Yesterday:

B - egg and cheese, turkey sausage, green tea with splenda

S - LC cheesecake - no lunch

D - 2 turkey burgers (homemade) with coleslaw and one slice of cheese, ice cream with strawberries.

Vit: yes
H2O - not enough

Today:

B- boiled eggs and 1/2 grapefruit

L - leftovers: ribs, cloeslaw, celariac with sauce from lamb

D- eating out tonight Smile
Vit - yes
Water: 32 so far

Anyone have plans this weekend?

Hi everyone,

Sorry for not posting. I hope you all had a good Easter. I was a bad girl on Easter (scalloped potatoes, baked beans and pie). The sad thing is I really didn't want to eat that but my mom cooked for me, b/f gary and my dad. I didn't want to hurt her feelings so I ate everything. However, I didn't eat very much forbidden food and I got right back on the wagon on Mon.

Today:
B-1 ribeye

L-no pasta lasagna

Water-54 oz. so far and 2 diet cokes with splenda

D-is going to be Hot Wings and green beans or salad

vitamin

Hope you all have a great evening,

Heather

Hi folks,

I am down another pound as of this weekend (yeah!). Overate a bit on Friday night when we were out, and I split an eclair with D Embarassed . Other than that the weekend went fine. Cooked some yummy food, relaxed and also bought myself a new pair of jeans in size 16. Tried on some 14s - one pair fit but I would have had to give up breathing and sitting. LOL. I think its going to be at goal when I can think about fitting into those. I baked some wheat-free low carb cookies (lots of nuts in them...mmmmm good).

Here are some of the weekend menus:

Sat:
B - slept through that
L - leftover celariac, turkey burger
S- LC cookies and Hood's LC milk
D- chicken curry with cabbage

Forgot vitamins

Sun:
B- ham and eggs, fruit
L - nuts, SF beverage, LC tortilla with cheese
D- Beef roast, cauli-mash with butter, lettuce wedge with blue cheese dressing, LC cookies and LC milk

Vitamins, yes
Water - 50 oz

Mon:
B - sausage and 1/2 grapefruit
L- Spagetti squash no noodle lasagna (from freezer)
D- Roasted chicken and a veggie (maybe broccoli or green beans)

Vit; Yes
Water: 32 so far

How was your weekend? I am starting to resign myself to very slow loss (one pound in a month!). Not sure if that is a good thing or not. I guess if I wanted thigns to move along, I'd be moving along more.LOL Laughing I woke up today thinking about running (jogging) again. I'd really need to start slow and work up to it, but I'm close to the weight where I used to run regularly....hummm.

things are going well today. I got rid of the salty deli meats for a while and cut back on my cheese. keeping things simple with meats, eggs and veggies.

Today:
B - egg scramble with some sausage
L - chicken curry and cabbage
S- nuts and diet beverage
D- roast beef (homecooked) and cauli-mash

Ate way too many of the LC cookies from Saturday-Today. They are mostly nuts, nut butter and coconut so I suppose its better than that 1/2 eclair I had on Friday! lol.

What's going on out there? How's it going?

Hi everybody,

I haven't been posting and it has a direct relationship to the fact that I fell off the wagon. It is mostly because of poor planning and I really think I need to post here daily or every other day. I am going to try to do that. Any way I have crawled back on to the wagon for 4 days now. Debbie, I'm sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. I hope your on the mend now.

So far today I've had:

W-32 oz
B-a bowl of this wonderful soup my sister, Traci the recipe to me. I am posting the recipe under soups if anyone wants to try it.

Have a good weekend everyone. Talk to you tomorrow or later today.

Heather
