Happy Saturday everybuddy!!! It's finally "cooled off" to 92 degrees today!
During Chat last night, a bunch of us decided to start an induction challenge to jump start our weight loss. SO, here we go!!!!
I'm not very good at counting my carbs, but I know "how" to eat, and will post my menus to keep myself "honest". ya'll holler if you see where I'm straying, or screwing up.
Today's Menu:
B- 2 cups coffee
2 slices quiche w/ spinach/mushrooms/cheese
L- Tuna Salad w/ mayo, onion,sf relish, hb eggs
D- grilled chicken thighs
green beans
maybe some salad if it hasn't gone bad. gotta check
i haven't been to the grocery store yet, and am just eating out of the pantry. I'm short on cash this week, so it will probably be Wed. before I can really stock up.
so, ya'll wanna join this challenge????? _________________ Dingie Dinah

good for you susie-q!!! keep it legal girl, and back away from the pop!!!! I challenge you to 2 tall glasses of ice cold water every day!!! I'm on my 5th tall cocacola glass of ice water. I LOVE my new britta water filter. My DH is on his 3rd or 4th glass too. it holds about a gallon and a half, and i fill it up at least twice a day.
Do you think you could drink filtered water su? Britta makes a pitcher sized one too. Just a thought.
hello, my name is dinah and i'm a water-a-holic!!! LOL
btw, i want me some meat lasagna too! may have to make one in the morning. I'm actually COOKING today! Thanks for the inspiration toots _________________ Dingie Dinah

LOL at U Dinah!!
I am Christina and I am a waterholic...I drink 80 to 100 oz of water a day. I will join the induction bandwagon as soon as I can have my gallbladder surgery. I got to see and GI specialist at 3 on Monday and maybe after that they will go ahead and get it ready for me. I hope so. I want to stay at 132 if I can and I dont mind induction.
Later and HUGS

Funny to see this....I decided Saturday to give induction another try. And I started first thing Sunday morn before seeing this post. What exactly is the challenge? Who can do it for two weeks? Who loses the most in two weeks on induction? What kind of participation/registration is expected? And, Dinah, are you in charge of it?
I would like to join. |

dance's, ain't no formality around here! just post and talk about whatever you want to about induction. We's around SS don't stand on ceremony. And ain't no buddy in charge. I've just got the biggest mouth! LOL feel free to jump in and discuss whatever you want about induction.
Basically we are just here to support each other in the induction phase. talk about what we are eating, what's hard about it, what's easy about it, how to burn your house down, ANYTHING really!
good luck girlie! _________________ Dingie Dinah

dinahs right but the big mouth is a judgement call.. i think we all have rather big mouths here... but its really just a place to talk bout this 2 wk period not a race or a real contest but just a challenge to see if we can do it...
today i had a ham and cheese omelet for breakfast.. for lunch i wasnt really hungry till bout 3 so i had a hunk of cheese mild cheddar and for dinner i had 2 cheeseburges with colby jack cheese on them, and a root beer sugar free popcicle (3 carbs) but as usual lots of my diet coke..
have i introduced myself.. im su and i am a diet cokeaholic..hheheheheh
the more the merrier to do this induction and you dont feel so alone _________________

Ok, so I guess in two weeks I am suppose to report in to say if I did it or not. And already I see today as a challenge, cause after I eat all the right food, I will drink the wrong food. And have to start all over again tomorrow. Story of my life. |

or you can check in daily and keep a running list of what you are eating and see how others are doing at the same thing.. just another way to have more in common with others.. up to you _________________

Hi all,
Maybe this is just what I need! I"ve tried doing it on my own. It's not working. You are talking about the Atkins Induction right? I just made a bunch of SF jello. Which is fine but, I also made a dzn zucchini muffins and a 1/2 dzn of Tony's Banana Nut muffins. How can I do induction with all that here? Help!
I have stalled at 16lbs since I had to take steroids a couple of weeks ago for several different problems. I even ate some bad things during that time. Threw it out half way through my binge I was so mad at myself.
I stayed away from SS.com because of it and I know that's bad.
Just need some more encouragement. I won't change my SS WOE but I need help kick starting this weight loss again.

So-today started with coffee splenda 1/2&1/2, then George's Bald Calzone leftovers, more coffee splenda 1/2&1/2, some "yeahChos"(my answer to nachos-I put gound beef, cheese, and tomatoes over spicy pork rinds and nuke 'em for a minute), water, then dinner was salad and italian sausage-now I'm online and drinking iced coffee splenda 1/2&1/2 probably surpassed 20gm carbs before dinner with all that 1/2&1/2! |
