| Marie-you did great! I had Mock Fried Rice with Chicken and beef/vegetable stir fry for dinner, 16 more ounces of water and 24 ounces of Splenda-sweetened Kool-aid (just a kid at heart!). I know I had WAY MORE than 3 cups of veggies yesterday and none of them were salad. But I made it through the entire day without coffee! |

| Hey y'all, what a great Challenge! I am on board. I don't really do well at counting my carbs. But I have the Atkins book so I'll do my best to follow induction from the book. It will be a real challenge since I am short on money until Friday. So count me in . Sassy |

...it looks like we have several in on the challenge! This is fun. And the food lists sound yummy and satisfying.
I made it through my "first day" and 13 to go! Made a detailed list in my book of every bite and sip. However! ugh! I did not write the carbs. I wrote the calories, cause, hey, I am old school. LOL SOOOO>>>my friend informed me today that if I go over the 20 carbs a day, I am NOT doing the induction challenge as required and will have to start all over! What a bubble buster that guy is!
But I got that covered. Today, when our home nurse comes, I am going to have her help me go through the Carb Book and write out my carbs from yesterday to confirm I am still on board and did not fall overboard!
In the meantime, I am off to make the breakfast......steaks, grits, eggs, pancakes, milk, juice...etc.....thank goodness I don't have to eat the stuff! I can eat an egg or something later. |

Happy Tuesday Everbuddy!!!!
Looks like my menu is gonna be something like this:
B- Tuna Salad (yummy!)
L- Pork Loin
Green Beans (boss's day to cook and I passed up choco cake! WHOO HOO)
D- Don't really know. Maybe leftover Meat loaf, or meat lasagna with
canned asparagus.
Not too exciting, huh? LOL
Hope everyone is staying cool today!!!

Hi all,
I had too many "other" challenges today. I did pretty good though.
Ham & cheese slices for breakfast
Salad w/chicken, pepperoni slices, olives, a few cukes, ken's dressing again, I love it. It's so good and no carbs! SF jello with whipped cream
Crystal light.
Had a bowl of that spagetti sauce for supper with shredded cheese on top.
maybe some jello later.
One big plus went to the doctor today, BP down from high 130's to 121/76.
I'm excited!! Best part is I feel great! Still have to add some exercise, it's too hot here in Florida to go outside for my walks.
I've got the Bean and will be starting that soon.
Bye all.

Marie-your menu looks on target. Let me know how the Bean works out, it looks interesting. (Late night infomercials are DANGEROUS!) My menu today, 80+ ounces of water today, eggs with ham and cheese AND 2 slices bacon for breakfast, leftover bald calzone for lunch, yummy steak with salad for dinner and I made mock mashed "potatoes" for the first time. DH who is not a low-carber loved them and wants to try frying the leftovers as patties tomorrow. |

Did ok today-100 ounces of water, eggs and bacon for breakfast, lunch baked chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower, snack of home made beef jerky, dinner grilled italian sausage. Did "cheat" with a splenda creamsicle tonight. Still no coffee or 1/2&1/2 --withdrawal is hell! |

Major thunder storms have knocked out the power repeatedly over the past 2 days and more expected tonight. I thought I was doing great on Induction, but then I looked into my Atkins book and he says no ricotta cheese! I have been eating leftover calzone up until yesterday! I have managed to stay away from caffeine though. Yesterday went really well until evening-Erika made Dinah's yummy peanut butter cookies and I ate 4 of them during "the game". Then the Packers lost and I ate 2 more ! Today, I've been "on plan" all day, but I'm tired and it's evening time, so I might have some difficulty not snacking. Luckily, DH ate all the PB cookies while I was at work and it is too hot and humid to turn on the oven to make more! |

Hi all
I'm not even going to list my food for today. It actually was good until I got home from work. Had one of those "home" parties to go to right at 5pm. Trouble was it was a Two Sisters Gourmet. Yup. I tried a little of everything! I only bought spices that are great on SS and have no carbs BUT I guess tomorrow's another day. and I do have the rest of the evening.
I'm ok, though, I am still a Stella Styler and know this is the way to go.
Just need a little kick in the pants once in a while.
Marie
ps ernirn, thanks for the encouragement. Just re-reading the posts helps me get back on track.

hope that helps
good luck with the desserts.. for me that is one of the things im not allowing myself during this 2 wk period as much as i wanna dive into my freezer and eat up that cheesecake.. 1 wk from tomorrow... cheesecake for breakfast next saturday!!!! _________________

Su-I have The Atkins Essentials (companion to the New Diet Revolution). It's a 2 week "jump start" induction program. This book also says no nuts or seeds or fruit during the 1st 2 weeks. AND warns that sugar substitutes may prevent ketosis in sensitive people. Not allowed cheeses are cottage, farmers, ricotta, fresh (not aged), reduced fat or low calorie, and processed. (I'm also not supposed to eat the desserts! Erika is a great baker and she continues to lose even eating desserts AND lo-carb bread products! Why can't I have the metabolism my 15 yo does? Oh, right, almost forgot-I'm "ancient" as she says! She's such an lol ) |
