Hooray!! Congratulations on your two pound loss June! Geez, I can't believe you did your walk already. I guess I gotta get off this chair and get to it. You really do inspire me!

And your daughter--WOW! Running 6.5 miles/hr for over two hours...amazing. I couldn't even WALK/CRAWL that many miles-LOL.
I'm impressed.

Yesterday I did do the two mile walk again. I think I might do the four mile walk today without the weights. The two mile is a little too easy but I needed to ease back into it. Maybe the three mile without weights...we'll see. I'll check in later and again, GREAT JOB!!

Angie

Whew! Ok, three mile power walk today. Not quite ready for the four miles- maybe next week. Have a great holiday!

Good Morning Angie!!

Congrats on your 3 mile walk. If you're not ready for the 4 mile that's ok. Just keep on keeping on. You'll get there. It will probably be this afternoon before I can workout today. I have lots of errands to run this morning. I'll let you know which dvd I do.

Take care & have a great day!

Good morning!

Another three mile day, pure cardio-no weights-with Leslie. Felt good afterwards but boy was it hard to get it started today for some reason.

Did you enjoy your holiday? We just relaxed and went out to dinner and to see a movie. Cobb salad for me-it's getting easier to stay legal thankfully.
I don't own a scale so I'll weigh in this weekend when I get back to work. Hopefully I have had as successful a week as you.

Have a great day. I'll check in later and see how you're doing.

Cheers!

Angie

I'm just now getting ready to workout. I didn't get home from my errands as soon as I had hoped. I'm going to do the 2 mile one again.

Our weekend was great. We've been busy working on crafts, so that's pretty much what we did all weekend.

I bet when you weigh in you'll do just fine. The scales haven't moved anymore for me. I know I shouldn't weigh often, but I'm guilty as charged. Embarassed Embarassed Anyhow, we'll see what next Monday brings.

Have a great rest of the day. I've goofed off long enough. Now I have to go walk.

Take care.

Happy Wednesday!! It's a beautiful day in Virginia!! I did 3 miles of walking/jogging this morning. I would have liked to have done 4, but I'm busy firing the kiln. Have a great day & happy walking.

I am not familiar with the routines you are discussing, but I had a few questions. How long does it take you to do the two miles? Are you walking inside on a treadmill, or outside? If outside, did you measure out the miles first with a vehicle?

A few years back I walked four miles outside and it took me about 50 to 60 minutes depending on how long I rested or how I felt that day. On my treadmill, it says I am walking at three miles an hour and that I go one mile in about 20 minutes. Am I really going slower inside compared to outside? <shrug> The workout feels the same.

Hi Dances,

The program we're discussing are indoor workouts, DVD/VHS. Leslie Sansone is the name of the woman who produces them. Here are a few links you can look at:

http://www.amazon.com/Leslie-Sansones-Walk-Slim-Miles/dp/B000OYCMMQ/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-5929881-1076911?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1189004345&sr=8-1

http://www.amazon.com/Leslie-Sansone-Pounds-Express-Challenge/dp/B00008DDJD/ref=pd_bxgy_d_text_b/102-5929881-1076911?ie=UTF8&qid=1189004345&sr=8-5

http://www.amazon.com/Walk-Away-Pounds-2-Pack-Burning/dp/B000062XEM/ref=pd_bbs_11/102-5929881-1076911?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1189004345&sr=8-11

It takes 30 minutes to complete the two mile walk in the DVD I have; 45 minutes for 3-mile, 55 minutes for the 4-mile. Some of the workouts include weight routines for the upper body.

As for your treadmill, I don't know why it would seem your going slower inside than out. Do you have it set to an incline?

I figure that as long as you're walking-whether inside or outside- you are doing great!

Dances,

As Angie said,we are using Leslie Sansone's walking systems. There are many many dvd's to choose from. As well as the links Angie gave you, Leslie's website (www.lesliesansone.com), Walmart and Target have them. The newest of her series is called Walk Slim. Those dvd's were just produced in the last year or so.

Angie, how many miles did you do today?

Thank you for your help!, Angie. I looked at the ads for the books/programs.....am going to do some other research of it on the web...

Wow! You get two miles done inside in 30 minutes?! That must mean your walking twice as fast as I can. Amazing! I am so jealous.
