I found this in another board I visit and I think they are the best pancakes ever. They taste just like real pancakes.
Use 3 oz of cream cheese and 3 eggs and beat them using a food processor.
Make them as you would regular pancakes. They come out looking more like crepes but they taste great.
Use any lc syroup you like and enjoy them. |

|
|
I was reading the Stella Style Recipe for pancakes and he uses Wheat or Oat Bran in it. My question has to do with the carbs. I read the ingredients at the market and it raises the question as to the amount of carbs in the bran. It was awfully high and I am confused about how good it is to use?
Thanks |

| I love the cream cheese/egg pancakes. They taste wonderful and are easy to make. I realized you could also use them like crepes and put different fillings in them. Thanks for the recipe. Donna |

Here's a great protein enriched pancake that will help you lose weight and build muscle! Like Emerill would say, Bam Baby!
David's LC Pancakes full of protein!
1/2 cup protein powder (I use vanilla or chocolate)
1 Tbsp Baking powder (I use Clabber Girl)
1/2 Cup cottage cheese (may use sour cream if counting carbs)
3 eggs (beaten)
3 Tbsp Oil (I use Bertoli's olive oil)
1 Tsp Vanilla SF extract
Directions
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and drop in desired size in heated oil in a skillet. Turn when bubbles appear on top and then turn and cook till browned. Eat as they are, with SF syrup or sometimes I mix 2 Tbsp water with 2 Tbs SF jam and then heat in microwave till hot (about 30 seconds) and pour over them! Hope ya like em and good luck,

I love pancakes! Here's my recipe:
Beat 2 eggs in a bowl. Add about 1/4 tsp baking powder. Then work in equal parts whey protein powder and flaxseed meal (I prefer organic golden flaxseed meal, it tastes much better than any other kind). You can also add in a little coconut flour, if you have some on hand. Just use equal parts of all the "flours" until you get it the consistency of pancake batter.
Cook these the same way you cook any other pancake. They taste very much like other pancakes, with a lot of protein and fiber. We use DaVinci's pancake syrup, but use whatever you like to top them.
We just had these for supper last night. With regular pancakes, you're hungry a couple of hours later. These stayed with me all evening, and I had no need for a snack before bed. |

OMG i heart these cream cheese/egg "pancakes" (although they are more like crepes to me) - i have had them for breakfast for two weeks straight and sometimes for a late snack.
i only add two eggs though (and sometimes a dash of vanilla); i think they come out more sweet. |

I had Desuhi's LC pancakes made with protein, eggs, splenda, salt and I added a dash of vanilla and a smidgeon of soy flour too--plus some blueberries!--They were excellent and my DH absolutely loved them! We ate them with DaVinci syrup.
Thanks for the recipe ideas! |

| I made the cream cheese and egg pancakes this morning, but I used fat free cream cheese and added 2 Tbs of milled flax. They taste very much like french toast to me. I sprinkled on a handful of blueberries and a bit of George's Whipped cream. |

I'm not a big pancake person - real ones always gave me bad headaches.
But these sound very good - may have to give them a try sounds like when I do I'll have to beat the kids off with a spoon - cause they love pancakes and we don't make them very often.
Thanks for sharing your recipes! _________________

I made these again this morning only tripled the recipe so my entire family could try them - they all said the same thing! They somehow taste like French Toast! Even my 10 y/o that hates eggs ate them and liked them! This time I used half whole eggs and half egg whites and they were just as good. _________________

I just made the pancakes (recipe from the cookbook -- Blueberry Pancakes) only I made them without the blueberries, as I didn't have any -- they are scrumptious!!! I added a tsp. of cinnamon and they almost don't need anything else! |
