Big Batch Brownies

This recipe was one I made up after trying several on the Somersize board..it is better than flour Brownies

Beat 2 sticks of softened butter
Add- 4 eggs
1 & 1/2 c sugar sub(I use wheylow)
3/4 c fudge sauce(recipe posted)
Mix well

Add-scant 2/3 c cocoa ( I use wondercocoa)
1 c protein shake mix(presweetened) I use Suzanne Somers vanilla..can also use protein powder-they aren't as tender
1 T vanilla

Don't overmix...just barly mix or they will be tough...don't overbake or they will be dry..just till toothpick barly comes out clean..about 24 to 28 min just till cebter is set...325 deg...7X11 pan sprayed with pam...these are most delicious warm..as soon as you get them out of the ocen...sprinkle some SF choc chips on and cover loosly with foil till they melt.....

That sounds really good! Shocked

What would the carb count be for the whole recipe?

Like i said-I don't count carbs- learned my WOE on Somersizing-reached goal with what I ate and how i combined foods-I have never counted carbs and don't know how- we eat all proteins and fats and veg alone and all good carbs and veg alone- no quantity control and no carb counting- we learn and eat only healthy whole grain carbs and pro-fats-sorry i can't help you but maybe someone that counts carbs can.....the Brownies are all pro-fats and scrumptious!!!

Cuz,

How much weight did you lose and how long did it take you? I'm thinking about ordering some of Somers' books. I have everyone else's...why not hers?

Gail

I lost 36 lbs in 5 mo..I did strick level 1...eat all pro-fats & veg alone-eat all carbs and veg alone-only good whole grain carbs -all full fat oriducts-object being to keep sugar and anything that turns to sugar out of your system- second year I fell off bifg time- I literally forced myself(in tears) to sytart over..level 1 and then level 2 after that-i have never gone back...level 2 is mixing in a few of the good carbs with pro-fats..the secrects i really learned were-always prepare ahead..also there were several products that started coming out that really helped and simplified my life...Somersize sea Salt Rubs..Carb 1 ketchup & BBQ sc...then i started using a few of the bake mixes-carbquick-chefs blend etc...they work really well and i still use them...but a trying to find a way to mix my own as they get expensive...with the aid of these products-I am always able to stay legal- also wheylow became a staple as I learned how to re-create anything and everything-i never feel deprived-if I crave anything(like brownies) I make them in a healthy way now and limit myself...I find this a true WOE not a diet at all...you must be comfortable and happy in your own skin...the only thing I never used was prepacked processed foods (other than the mixes) I truly learned how to eat healthy and fresh..if you order Somersize books- go to Am,azon and get them used- i recently bought the entire set again and paid 7.00 a piece for them including shipping- they are a world of knowledge as she believes you have to balance every aspect of your being-emotional-spiritual- hormonoly-in every way to really deal with weight loss....if you want to know anything about SS let me know....5 yrs for me....

woohoo cuznliz! You go gorl! I have all of Suzanne's books including the contest I book. I just need the contest II book now and the sexy one but I am only 32 so I figured I won't need that one yet. I did SS for a short time after I got bored of atkins. I loved it and the dessert book is soooo yummy. They have the best hot cocoa and it is so rich! I do like taht there are only 3 levels ; level 1, almost 1 and level 2. It makes things so easy and simple to follow and make it a woe. I fell off the wagon about a year ago and now I weigh more that when I started atkins! Yikes! I have to lose this weight and I am now including exercise in with my eating plans. I can't wait to start to see results. I am motivated too as I saw my sister last week and she has 1 child (I have 2) and she weigh116 lbs! I am so jealous! She is about 5' 9" and so skinny! She eats a ton too. I used to be like that. She is only 1.5 yrs younger than me. I was always the tall skinny girl (6 feet tall and used to be a size Cool now I am the tall "big" girl. I hate that!! I want to be skinny again! (medium would be nice too but skinny better) Smile You know taht Suzanne has a great website taht explains the somersizing too. Also, her books are great for taht. You can also find them on Ebay. Here is the website addy. www.suzannesomers.com I saw her on HSN tonight and you can get some good deals on the food stuff there too.

sorry, me again. I was wondering if you have ever tried the somersizing brownie mix? I hear it is so yummy but when I made it once it tasted like eggs with a bit of chocolate. They were kinda gross. Maybe I made them wrong. hmmm. I love making egg crepes! What a great idea! I made the somersizing mac and cheese with the egg crepe noodles and it was so yummy and my too young kids loved it too! My kids are not somersizing, nor is husband so I need to watch what I feed them as the low carb style is full of fats and since my family is not low carbing the fats could be bad for them. ANyway, I love the egg crepe lasagna too. Even my picky eater husband loved that!

Hi nhgirl

I have been a SS for almost 5 yrs and have several copies of her books...I don't think there are many products of hers I have not tried over the years..I used Somersweet for a long time..but.it doesn't bulk up and it contains AceK..I wasted and threw out soooo many expensive ing that I finally found an all natural sweetener and stopped using Somersweet..yes I have used the SS brownie mix but I wouldn't recommend it- it tastes exactly like dried eggs and it very expensive...if you want a real tasting brownie try the ones I posted...they are in the oven right now-if you follow the directions exactly-you will never find a better one- don't overbake or overmix....I will find out the Somersweet equivelts and post back-I got all of my SS hardcover books at A,mazon for about 7.00 included shipping-I have been a member of the SS board for years but it has become so censored the last year that I don't post much-i don't see many of the oldtimers on there anymore- Suzanne is only hurting her program by forcing her foods on her followers...I saw her on HSN too-a total doll-I bought her new spray on make-up..if you are Somersizing and need any info..let me know...Liz

I love her fudge sauce and caramel but trying to make the caramel using the Desserts book and somersweet was hard and it tasted burnt. Yeah the brownie mix is gross and I have the cheese cake mixes and the somersweet in it is so overpowering. Other wise the cheesecake would have been wonderful.

Hi nh

Try the fudge sc I posted and the same girl(TerT) made up a great caramel sauce..the sauces in the dessert book didn't work at all..but these two do-I just got done making the fudge sc-you will not believe how good it really is-most of SS products are overpowered with Somersweet to me-I had to stop using them-there are much better altyernatives than Somersweet-do you have the Chocolate Book? the lava cake recipe is the best..I bought the kit with the mix...total waste of money-I had to throw them away after spending 25.00 on it-I have found that with most of her stuff- but the Sea Salt Rubs really are the best!!! The recipe for the lava cake really works perfect....
