Flank steak = Skirt steak = fajita
Make sure the membrane is peeled off. It is tough. |

I don't think it has ever had the membrane on it when I bought it as flanksteak.
But if you find it as skirt steak or fajita I guess it usually does. It had been so long since I have seen it as either of those I had forgotten.
It seems to depend on the part of the country you are in as to how you will usually find it. _________________ Billie

skirt steak is long and thinner than flank steak.....Flank is thicker and almost square and kinda tapers on the end.
I added grilled chicken to the casserole and had a whole dinner....love it. I also think it's best with extra sharp cheddar. though have tried it with mozzarella and parm and it was pretty good |

Mark - I have to thank you big time, I made this tonite for the family, undercooked the spaghetti squash just slightly and it turned out fantastic. My son actually thought I had made a hash brown casserole. Thank you so much for sharing this, I am definitely bringing this dish to get togethers. Fantastic !

I am glad you enjoyed it. I just had it a couple of days ago too. My wife makes it for get togethers also, never had anyone who didn't like it!!!
Thanks.

Stupid question,
When you cut the spaghetti squash, do you cut it lengthwise or crosswise? |
