I completely agree with you. I noticed that when I was in induction, I didn't have enough endurance to do much of anything for a long period of time. I was only able to run for 20 minutes, then lift for another 20 minutes, and I would be totally wiped out.
Now that I'm eating around 65 net carbs, I'm able to spend a lot more time at the gym. I am running between 45 and 60 minutes, and lifting for another 40 minutes. I must eat 1 hour before I work out, due to my postprandial hypoglycemia, and I keep my breakfast around 20 net carbs. _________________

Dittos. you really need to add more carbs into your diet if you are weight training and exercising a lot. because your body just can't handle it otherwise. i think the 20 net crabs a day for beginners was made for those who have more of a sedentary lifestyle. I bet Dr. Atkins would have siad to each individual if they saw him privately taht based on your exercise levels and intensity you would need to eat a few more crabs than someone more sedentary. Plus, look at Weight Watchers, if you are exercising you are able to add a couple more flex points to your day (meaning more food you are allowed to eat) for every 30 or so minutes you exercise. So most diet plans will recognise taht if you are exercising you do need more feul for your body to work properly. Plus, think about it, if you are exercising and eating very low carbs then your body will go into the starvation mode because you would be essentially starving it od the nessassary crabs it needs to maintain the level of exercise, and you will not lose any weight at all. SO you would need to eat more. Not a ton but enough for you body to keep up with you. |
