Not feeling well at all today, my stomach is really hurting in the upper left quadrant, very tender to touch. Not hungry at all, nausea.

L- Hot chicken Salad casserole

S- Fage Yogurt

I have really been feeling bad the past few weeks and I have a doctor's appointment this Wed with my gastro doctor. It seems like my body is not digesting fats very well and causing a lot of pain. I have other symptoms but I will save myself the embarrassment and not share the details Embarassed
The other night when I made the Mock Mashed Potatoes, a few hours later I was hurting really bad and having real bad nausea and reflux feeling.
So it may be the dairy that is causing the symptoms or the fats, I will discuss this with the doctor on Wed.
My son has really bad stomach problems and we had a lot of test ran and found out that he had problems digesting certain types of fats. If he eats a hamburger cooked on the grill his tummy will bloat up and he is in so much pain, but if I cook hamburger chopped up like in spaghetti, his tummy does o.k. I'm not sure what the difference is with him.
When we got his lab work back him fatty acids and amino acids were really off balance, not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

The pain is in my upper left side around my liver and spleen, it's very tender to touch and if I try to jog or even walk fast the pain worsens, does that sound like anything particular to anyone?

I will let you know what the doctor says.

Sounds like Gall Bladder to me. But I think the GB is on the right side. I know when I had problems with mine, it hurt EVERYWHERE! I even was convinced I had "female" problems.

Good luck, and let us know what the doctor says..... And get some REST girlfriend!!!

Yup, it sounds like gallbladder to me too. I had terrible gallbladder problems a few years back. It was sludge and not stones though, because it resolved on its own eventually. When I had pain it hurt on either side and even the shoulders and my back/shoulder blade area. I feel for you Cathy. I hope you get it taken care of soon. A hot gallbladder is the PITTS!

"Spinach Flax Lavash"

Cathy, what is this?

Edited to say...I did some checking up on this. Is this Sami's brand? They look good. Three net carbs, not bad. You are tolerating them ok? No bloating or any of those other symptoms you had when eating grains? I guess these don't really have wheat in them though. Millet flour, I wonder what that is. How do they taste? Where did you find them? I'm tempted to give them a try.

Yes, it is from Sami's bakery.

Before LC I was eating the regular flax and millet bread, hot dog and hamburger buns, and the lavash. I have also tried the pizza crust. It is all VERY good. Worth every penny!! But after I started LC I only still eat the Lavash. It has a ton of fiber. I take it and heat it in the oven for just a few min. before it becomes a chip Very Happy and use it to wrap my turkey or tuna in. It does not wrap like a tortilla though, you can really only just fold it once like a taco shell. But I really like it. It doesn't seem to bother me like the LC tortillas did that were made out of wheat and had a lot of other ingredients in them. So I will continue to enjoy them till I can see a stall or something. I love the Spinach ones. I have placed orders on their website and had a good experience with the order and the shipping. I know they do have a Low Carb section.

Let me know if you try them. Like I have said before "Move to Georgia and you and I can hang out and share our food and recipes Very Happy "

Yep I'm still here (incase anyone was wondering Wink )
We've been very busy and my cousin has been staying with us this week. I took 6 kids to Six Flags on Thurs. and yes I'm crazy. They were all really good though. They were from ages 17 down to 5. I spent a lot of my time in the kiddie area Very Happy

Anyways, I need to start journaling again, I am more accountable when I post. Yes that does mean I've had a rough week with my eating, and I'm paying for it Sad
But back on plan again and keep looking forward, right??
I really also want to start exercising again. I need some motivation. I really can't stand exercising but I know it helps and it makes me feel better once I do it. It's just finding time to work it in. And no, mornings won't work for me.

I've missed everyone, y'all are like buddies to me Wink

Cathy,

I'm glad you've been spending time with family. I know what you mean about having a bad week eating. I wasn't very good while I was visiting my friend. But it's back on the wagon for me. You mentioned needing to exercise. I'm not a fan of it either, but I do like Leslie Sansone's walking dvd's. I plan to start back Monday. So come on and join me..........do whatever type of exercise you like. I usually post my daily exercise log over in the Challenges forum.

Hope to see you there. Keep up the good work!!

Cathy welcome back! I've missed you! I just LOVE amusement parks. I wish I had gone with you!

I need to exercise too. Especially now that I seem to be at this plateau or stall--whatever it is. Annoying it is, that's for sure. I love Leslie too. I just cannot get motivated to get up and do it. It's like going to work for me...once I'm there I'm fine with it. It's just the anticipation of it I dread.
I really shouldn't be making excuses. I just need to do it. Uggh.

See ya!
