Sounds pretty good to me.
Big Mac Salad Recipe
* 1-1 1/2 lb ground beef
* 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
* 1 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
* 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
* 3/4 cup mayonnaise
* 1/4 cup LOW CARB ketchup
* 2 tablespoons pickle relish
* 1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper
* 1 tablespoon sesame seed
1. Brown and drain the ground beef. Let cool.
2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked and cooled ground beef, finely chopped onions, shredded lettuce and cheese; toss well. Place in a large salad/serving bowl.
3. In a seperate small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, salt and pepper.
4. Drizzle the dressing over the salad. You can either leave it drizzled or toss everything to evenly coat salad.
5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. _________________ Angie

Oh, back to add:
For authentic McDonald's cuisine you need to use dehydrated onions and sliced pickles. I used to work there in high school so I'm an expert you know... _________________ Angie

| My son has loved this yummy dish for a couple years now. He also makes a variation of it in pizza form by taking the cheese plus some more and makes one of those cheese egg crusts. Spreads the sauce mix on and puts the toppings of meat and onion on to bake, a little more cheese, then sprinkles some lettuce and tomato on top before serving. He says he loves the taste. |

Yum. Although I used to groan when my son wanted McDonalds all the time, I must say that every once in a while I get a craving for that messy gooey big mac. This was really close! I don't like the low-carb catsup used by itself, it just doesn't taste like the real thing, so I was hoping I wouldn't be disappointed. I wasn't....mixed in the mayo to make the special sauce, I couldn't tell that it wasn't normal heinz catsup. It was great! I'm going to make this again. Thanks for a great recipe!
