What is everyone's favorite whey protein powder? and where can it be found. Particularly the vanilla and chocolate.
Please note where it can be found.
Thank You. |

Hi Guys & Girlies,
It's been awhile, actually quite awhile. I've gained about 20 lbs with everything going on around here and need to climb back on the wagon and get somekind of control back.I'd like to start with doing smoothies again. The protein powder that I have is from GNC and at first I liked it,but now I think it is to darn sweet.I'd like to try some of Davids recipes, and thought I would go to Wal-Mart and get the kind that he uses.Question is!!!! Does that seem real sweet also?I notice some of his recipes call for 2-3 scoops, I can't even imagine.
Hope everyone is doing well,I will have to try to catch up soon.
Hugzzzz

Healthsmart Foods Inc, Carbthin Zerocarb Egg protein Shake mix, chocolate!!! Yum, Contains Whey Protein Isolate.
They also Make the same shake mix in Whey Protein instead of Egg, but both contain whey protein. It might be my imagination but I find the egg version to be thicker.
Both are zero carb and zero sugar. Sweetened with sucralose. Includes and amino acid complex for health.
I order online, It's expensive but worth it. _________________

| I use the chocolate flavor from optimum nutrition I get at vitacost.com I use the casein protein before going to bed since it's slower digesting. For whey protein, I second syntrax nectar. |

Sorry Tony, I just now found your post. I thought I had been looking down the index to make sure I had seen all new posts. (It didn't show up as a new post for me, and I missed the date till just now.)
I don't think they are all high in Protein. But you do really have to look to find one really low in carbs. The Body Fortress is not super low in carbs, but it isn't really high either. (Most people subtract the fiber carbs from the total, and look at net carbs.) If I remember correctly the carb count is for 2 scoops, but a normal serving for most people is 1 scoop. I think the 2 scoop portion is more for body builders, etc. Makes it confusing. The Vanilla is actually less than 1 net carb per scoop. The Chocolate is higher (due to the cocoa) and is just less than 3 net carbs per scoop. I don't know about other flavors.
I found one at a health food store the other day which is low in carbs. But again, it was at a health food store, and not sure how easy it is to find. It was quite good. I bought the chocolate. I found it at Natural Grocers/Vitamin Cottage. It is called Whey Factors. It is new to their stores. It is NOT cheap, but it is good, and had good & is good quality. The chocolate is about 2 carbs per scoop if I rememer correctly. The vanilla in this would also be lower in carbs.
Because of the cost factor, I may or may not buy again.
I have heard of brands that are 0 carb, but I don't believe that I personally have found any yet, at least in stores. _________________ Billie
