Today we purchased a 22 cf bottom freezer fridge. I'm sooooo happy I just want to eat up all the food in the old one so there isn't so much to transfer on Thursday...LOL. But I won't because the WII Fit told me I lost 4.6 lbs in 2 weeks. That makes a total of 9 lbs lost since I changed the way I eat.
Now to find the tape measure and see exactly where it went, cause it ain't around the belly.

Congratulations on the new fridge!! And on the weight loss!!!
My old fridge had a bottom freezer (as have some others I have had in places I lived). I love the bottom freezer! I had to buy a new freezer last year, and tho I wanted another bottom freezer, I got a side by side, because of where I have to put it. The (new larger) bottom freezer type just wouldn't work well there.
So proud that you have lost the weight. And boy do I understand about losing it everywhere else but the belly first. I'd be happy with my weight now, if this here belly was a lot flatter!
Enjoy that new fridge!!! _________________ Billie

Oh I am PEE green with jealousy!!! I have replaced every appliance in my kitchen except my old broken down fridge. It's making funny noises, so it's gonna crap out one of these days. I'm like Billie tho, the space where the fridge goes is so small, i'm limited as to what I can get. I have a GE side by side now, and I have come to HATE it. (shhhh don't say it to loud, it might hear me and decide to crap out today! LOL)
And great work on the loss!!! Very proud of you! and stick with that Wii Fit! I want one sooo bad!
I think I'll just come live with you.... _________________ Dingie Dinah

congrats on the weight loss and the fridge! I wanted the bottom freezer so bad and my wife wouldn't allow me to get it. She says you have to move everything to get to everything but I know it makes perfect sense to hae it on the bottom and the fridge on top that you are accessing all day! Anyways we got a side by side and she still digs through to find stuff, Karma lol,

I'm with you bottom freezer lovers. Don't know when it's going to happen, but eventually, that's what I'm going to get. My problem is space, but I've got a plan working. Got to measure my pantry and see if it's deep enough. The not so good part of that plan is that the pantry is not in the kitchen, but it is right outside the kitchen, in what used to be a coat closet. Or, barring that, it would probably fit where my way too big fridge (with a top freezer...hate the whole thing) is now.
Now all I need is money. |

I wanted the bottom freezer because my hubby is 6'2" and only sees what is on the top shelf. I hope that having the fruit and veg at eye level will keep us honest about what we eat. Shopping for a new one was hard work and Sears salesmen leave a lot to be desired...so needless to say, they didn't get out business.
Thanks for all the congrats on the weight loss. It helps, but you all already know that. Ummmm...the WII Fit...I only use for scales...lol. I'd rather walk the dog than exercise in the living room. The dog needs to lose 10 lbs too...lol |

Beth, I was pretty sure I wanted a Kenmore. I did look around at a few other stores, but didn't find what I wanted. I then did most of my shopping online, found the fridge I wanted, and went to Sears & bought it.
I've had very good luck tho with the salesmen (persons) in the appliance section at our Sears. _________________ Billie

| I shouldn't have dissed all their salesmen. My apologies. Mine however was more interested in his cell phone then making a sale. I saw several models I was considering at Sears. We ended up going to a small store that we've dealt with before and keeping the money in our county. I'm counting the hours till it gets here..34 and counting...lol |

Oh, I didn't take it that way Beth! I understand & understood what you meant. Been there done that at stores before too. And I don't blame you for going somewhere else!!!
I know you are excited, and having a hard time waiting on it to get there. Hope you love it!!! I am now wishing that I would have been able to (and then would have) get another bottom drawer. But I really needed a larger fridge than I could have gotten in the bottom drawer. My husband kept telling me that I wouldn't like a side by side, as it wouldn't have enough space. I still really cannot for the life of me understand how I can have more cf space (in both fridge & freezer), and yet not have as much space, but (and don't tell him I said so) I think he is right. It just doesn't seem to have as much space, even tho it is bigger. But,,,,,, I had 2 fridges before, and now I only have ONE! The other one was going out too, and we (well my daughter for me) talked them into taking both out.
I much prefer bottom freezers to top freezers!
I do love my ice dispenser on the door tho. I would like the water dispenser too if it would put out enough water. but it takes 5 minutes to get a cup of water (or seems like it). We're not sure if it is the water pressure, or the line clogged with calcium. (We used the existing waterline that went to the other ice maker. We've checked to see if the line was kinked, and it isn't. Took forever for the ice bin to fill up the first time!
Well enough about my fridge!!!!
Congratulations on Your new fridge!!!! _________________ Billie
