Varicose Viens, burning and itching

I've never had problems with varicose veins, but...here's what's goin' on.
Woke up the other day with a very itchy upper thigh, and of course I had to scratch it. I now have what I think are varicose veins. I can see them, and they burn and feel hot to the touch. Does anyone have a home remedy to stop the burn? I will talk with my Dr. at the end of the month about them, but for now it's driving me crazy.

I'm sorry, I have no remedy. But it sounds serious to me. If they are indeed infected, it can be very dangerous. (Not saying they are, but hot doesn't sound at all good!) You may need to at least call your doctor and tell him or the nurse what is going on, and see what they say.
