Ok, I've never posted menus before, but am going to give it a go. I'm open to thoughts, suggestions and insights! Very Happy

Today so far:

Breakfast
2 egg omelet with cheese and 1 whole very small haas avocado with V8 juics

Lunch
Homemade sausage and lentil soup
1 very small lobster tail made into salad with a smidge of mayo, lemon juice and celery

Snack
1 whole naval orange

Dinner
I expect it to be leftover ham, fresh roasted asparagus and a salad

Will probably have a few walnuts for a snack later

Hmm...Michelle,
Just a thought here, but the lentil soup may be a little bit carby. If you are still losing well, then you may be OK. But lentils are not on the recommended list I don't think, because of the carbs. But they also have quite a bit of fiber. Everyone is different, and some people just are able to handle different carbs differently.
I've stayed away from oranges also. Recently I've started eat one of the small Clementines once in a while. I bought a bag of naval oranges last week since my granddaughter was here with us for a while. I started to have one of them. I think I ate one one day, then as I was eating another another day, I looked in my carb chart and realized an orange has 13 NET gram carbs!!! I ate half, and put the other in the fridge for another day! (actually I just now looked at the USDA nutritional guide, and it says an orange, raw, Naval has 17.65 total carbs & 3.1 fiber, so that is almost 14 1/2 net carbs.) Egads!!! I may eat 1/2 an orange once in a while, but not a whole one, or not very often anyway. Ouch, even the little ones seem pretty high. Closest I could find would be Tangerines.... 1 small is still about 9 net carbs!!!

Other than that, sounds pretty good to me (well other than personal taste or allergy reasons for myself on some items).
(Oh, not sure on the V8 juice tho either. ???)

Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback. The fruit does make me a bit nervous...I thought I'd see what happens to my loss. But you make a really good point. I guess I should stick more to berries and stuff. I'll be anxious to see how I do at my weigh in Saturday.

I know I eat a lot of avocados too...and walnuts. In fact, I need to cut back on the nuts. I eat the avocados and nuts b/c 1) I love 'em...and 2) they are natural anti-infllammatories and make my knees and back stop hurting. But...though good for you...full of calories, I know.

Thanks again! I do really love the feedback! Smile

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs and 1 piece of high fiber german bread with a touch of butter (this stuff is AMAZING!! It's called "fitness bread' and the ingredients are a really easy read: whole rye, whole wheat, a few other 'wholes' and yeast basically. Dense and chewy and a hint bitter..like good german bread!)

Lunch: Lemon pepper trout, green beans, touch of fried okra and salad with bleu cheese dressing

Dinner: Saffron shrimp, cold poached salmon, salad of mixed field greens, asparagus, green olives with a dressing made with dijon, white wine vinegar and olive oil
