I am going to try to track what I eat so others can help me when needed. I have been stalled for a couple of weeks now and it may be because of the Atkins bars. I have one a day most days. I also drink diet coke (1 per day) and crystal light. Hmmm... anyway yesterday's menu was:
B
2 slices bacon
2 eggs fried in bacon grease
cup of black coffee
S
Crystal light
L
2 chx thighs coated in egg, crushed spicy pork rinds and butter, baked
1 cup cheesy broccoli bake
S
Atkins bar - peanut butter fudge
D
Jack In the Box Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger (hold the bun), mayo only
(we eat on the run on Wednesday nights because of prayer meeting)
I try to drink water but know I need more. Today I am drinking water and not touching diet coke or crystal light. |

Atkins bar
Avoided diet soda and crystal light. Tried to drink a lot of water. I am making myself drink a bottle of water during my morning commute. I know I am lacking veggies. I haven't cooked much lately and when I do I get my veggies. I also need to buy some lettuce tonight.
I have had a rat in my house for over 3 weeks now. My cats have been useless. It has put me off using my kitchen.
Need to get back to work but will read and reply to posts at lunch. |

sometimes we get field mice, cause we live in the country. I find that decon, the little pellets work the best.

PS to Debbie -
I can handle field mice since my cat kills them before presenting them to me. He has killed some rats also, but all 3 of my cats are ignoring this rat. I saw it on top of my china cabinet. It looked like a pretty big roof rat. ICK!! |

I was really hungry by 10:30 after eating breakfast at 8. So I had an Atkins bar. I thought maybe it was the scrambled eggs instead of fried, but I had fried this morning and was hungry again. hmmmm |

As you can see I am weak on veggies. I need to prep before hand. I don't keep a lot of salad stuff since it goes bad so fast. I will work on this.
I was never a big vegetable eater so I really need to think and be creative.  |

hey Cheryle, I too have stalled the last week or so and I have also been eating the atkins bars at once a day this was not something that I had been doing and the scale was going down two pounds a week or so here lately i've been gaining and I'm not sure if these are the culprit all else of my eating has been correct so I too have to drop these from my daily routine and just have them as a treat not a snack. I will also have to start posting what i eat and see if this will help me.

very late, so had a TLC cheese pot with 2 sl pepperoni. recipe is in Karen RySavvy's cookbook...I think the first one.

Hi Pam,
Atkins bars are all gone!! I haven't been in ketosis either so I think sugar alcohols affect me. Please post your menus. I get so many great ideas from them.

Pam and Cheryle, Hi. I also get so many ideas from reading other's menus. Also I had to stop the Atkins bars altogether as they would always stall me and it took a few days to get unstalled. Mabe further down the road I could try them again as they are so yummy as a treat. Maybe George or another member can come up with a bar cookie that will be completely legal and no sugar alcohols. Hey Pam,
Good to see your menu. I have been thinking about making some SF jello. As soon as I get back from vacation I want to plan some menus and do some weekend cooking to get me through the busy week days. Hopefully, my menus will start to look more creative and balanced with vegetables! |
