happy new year to all and your families. my father is 85 years old and found out his has prostate cancer. he has had a chemo luprin shot for a 3 month cyle about 2 months ago. right now he has had a galled area in hid gential areas but it is starting to heal now. his immune is week dues to all of this - he now has shingles from everything. i am taking care of his shingles and ect. i am of need of prayers for him and my family. he still had to start radiation treatments for 6 weeks ,5 times a week. my mom has dem- aliz and i am trying to carefor them. my mom gets around still okay. no driving for her and they can still help me with samantha cares. i am still working out side the home. my daD Is feeling better today and is getting better for right now. i am praying he will make a full recovery. thank you so much for you r support and friendship. sue

well it was a long 2 weeks. my father is feeling better now- he is still week some. he can drive now and is back doing most of what he can do. i am working alot at work. glad to have my job. my father still has to start radiation on the 1/24/12 still for 6 weeks. will be glad to see him get that down so he can get bacck to his normal self. sue

Thanks for the update on your Dad Sue. So glad he is feeling better. And glad you have that job!!
As Geo said, nice job taking care of your Dad! So glad you still have him to be able to take care of!

thank you for all your replies. and thank you so much for your prayers. i feel this is going to be a good yr. samantha is doing good so far this year. if the weather allows us on friday we are going to see a movie later in the afternoon when she gets home from school. loking forward to the weekend. sue

well my father is doing good- he has to go on tuesday of this week and wed of this week and his radation will be over -right now the xrays show the cancer is gone. he will have to keep going back for blood work to show if the cancer would come back . but as it looks right now ,its gone. sue
