I absolutely love this last cookbook of George's (I have them all ) I have made several things. One of my favorite so far is the Spiced Whoopie Pies. I made them with the original recipe and loved them then made them again today and decided to change things up. In the dough portion of the pies, I used the DaVinci Sugar Free Caramel flavoring instead of the vanilla and in the filling, I used the DaVinci Sugar Free Raspberry flavoring. It was delicious. I can't wait to try other flavorings with them. They are so easy and sooooo good.

Lets see...Raspberry Drop Scones. Very good and might try again with blueberries. Cheesy Spinach Muffin Bites..good, very savory. I tried the Cheese Danish Dreams but must have done something wrong because they didn't turn out too good. Made the Mediterranean Chicken...I had never used artichokes before and was not sure, but it was very good. I made the Meat Lasagna and was worried the family would miss the noodles but it was really good and cheesy (cant go wrong with cheesy) and the family loved it. Said it was a definite "do it again" meal. Did the Zucchini Parmesan Saute..very good and of course the Original Mac and Cheese Casserole (that is a staple dish around here) I did the Peanut Butter Brownie Minis and they are good, but I think I will try to use one of my DaVinci Sugar Free Flavorings next time instead of the vanilla to try and make just a little bit sweeter. (Still very good). I made the Stella Style Cheesecake tonight. Have never done a cheesecake before and even though I did a water bath it still split on top. I just finished a little while ago and it has to chill for several hours so I havent tasted it yet. Will have to wait and see on that. I am having a blast trying these recipes. Like in an earlier post, I had gotten off the diet a little and gained a couple of pounds and this has really gotten me going again. Already lost about 4 pounds since I started again.

WAY 2 GO, Joann on your 4 lbs down! Your excitement over these recipes is getting me motivated too! I made a recipe I found here on the forum for choc chips cookies, ref posted by Angie in '08 in ecipes for Newbies and they are so yummy with George's choc bark as the choc chips! I will have to change my sweeteners around though bc I was experimenting with my Christmas gift of XAGAVE syrup and the Whey Low Gold in the cookies since I had no liquid Splenda as Angie had used. The cookies stuck to the pan even though I sprayed and I think the XAGAVE caused that. I used muffin tin pans and that helped because others had said they would spread ( and they did!). ANyway... keep up the edging DOWN on the scales! We LOVE to hear that!
