This was brought to a Christmas party at my house and devoured. It's so delicious! "Pencil asparagus" (not the thick spears) were used and she wrapped each spear individually. If you use the thicker spears you'll want to blanch them first so they don't stay raw in the middle after their time in the oven.

PROSCUITTO WRAPPED ASPARAGUS

1/2 pound proscuitto, sliced
8 oz cream cheese, softened
12 spears fresh asparagus, trimmed

1. Preheat oven to 450F (230C).

2. Spread proscuitto slices with cream cheese. Wrap a slice around each asparagus spear. (Or bunch 2-3 together and then wrap.)

3. Arrange wrapped spears in a single layer on a baking sheet sprayed with non-stick spray.

4. Bake 15 minutes until asparagus is tender.
