do chocolate chips last that have never been opened?
I need to make a dessert for a meeting next week and thought chocolate chip cookies would be good for the carb eaters. (I never have to bring any home.) I have the choc chips in the cupboard, but they've been there probably 6 years.
Still good?
I won't be QC tasting anything.
And I like these people, so I don't want to make anything stale tasting.

Well, they say a year, but I know dark chocolate has a much longer shelf life. I think dark chocolate is good for 5 or 6 years? I have used good quality chocolate I had stashed in the back of my cabinet for over 5 years and it was fine.
If you open the bag and it is streaked or lighter colored with a different texture it means it's gotten warm and then came back to regular temperature. This is okay to use if you use it melted but not regularly. _________________ Foxye Started Somersizing 01/03 - 230/165/165
