*Before you start cooking, protect your cookbooks (including the wonderful Stella books) with self-adhesive plastic that kids use for their schoolbooks. Your cookbooks will live through the splashes of vinegar and puffs of soy flour that accidentally fly to the way of the cookbooks. I actually put transparent plastic like that over the two Stella books that I have.

*Gotta drink water? Too much into pop? Buy a waterfilter. Filtered water tastes way better than unfiltered tap water, even if your hometown has good tapwater anyway. Filtered is best!

*Fancy something unhealthy? To get your thoughts away from chocolate, milk shakes, wine etc buy substituting your craving with something else: either a low-carb version of it, or pamper yourself in another way by taking a bath for example and you get something else to think of, drink mineral water out of a wine glass etc. Or you can go online and study about low-carbing Wink
