Glad you liked it Dinah and I wish they wouldn't stick. I use the silicone and haven't to date had any sticking issues yet. Good to see you around and hope all is well. I am thinking about ya buddyette,

notes to myself:
doubled the recipe for a sheet cake
make sure you use a food processor, it makes it creamier and more like a "real" cake batter
upped the baking powder by half
didnt use the filling, but will ice it with either chocolate frosting, ganache, or something peanutbuttery.....
lowered the temp to 340 since i was using a dark glass pan....
in the oven for 45 minutes

I made this the other night, but had the same problems as others here. The batter was extremely thick, not at all pourable. I even added extra oil and it helped, but not enough. I used the unsweetened chocolate chunks and they were way too bitter. I couldn't use all of the filling because there was not enough cake batter to cover the filling. I am guessing that I overcooked it because the pan wasn't even halfway full- I should have decreased cooking time. The cake flavor is really good, but way too dry and we needed to pile on the sugar free chocolate sauce and whipped cream. I will probably try this again, but will double the recipe and cook for less time. Maybe even add even more oil. I thought the batter was more of a cookie dough. Wonder what they would taste like as Devil's food cookies? HMMM Might try that too! _________________
