hey suzie! there are so many variables to weight loss. instead of me writing it all again, go to my profile and read my story. I started out on atkins, and lost a lot of weight fast, and transitioned into Stella Style and changed my LIFESTYLE. I don't do DIEts, cause the first three letters just turn me off!!! LOL
That being said, I think it all depends on you, your weight, your height, etc.... At first I was so discouraged at times to see people with huge weight losses in a short amount of time, only to find out later they had a lot more to lose than I did/do, and might have been shorter, taller, etc.... Does that make sense? And of course men almost always lose faster than women cause we have all those "female" issues to deal with. Then there are those people who begin an excersize program at the same time, and they are building muscle which weighs more than fat, so they may even GAIN weight!
One thing I didn't do in the beginning that I wish I had, was measure myself all over, and remeasure monthly. Sometimes that speaks more for a weight loss than the numbers on the scale.
And go for how you feel too. If this way of life makes you FEEL better, then in the long run you will stick with it and the pounds will come off.
Also, one more thing and I'll quit preaching, I'm a big believer in drinking water. I almost drink it exclusively. Rarely will I have a diet soda, and occasionally I'll make unsweetened decaf iced tea. Oh, but I do drink black coffee every morning.... but I am NEVER without a bottle or glass of water. when my boys were younger, they would always sneak drinks out of my glass cause "momma's water always tastes better" LOL They still do that and they are 24 and 18 now!
Well, I hope this helped a bit, and please feel free to contact me any time! best way is my gmail account, address is dingbatdinah@gmail.com

Suzie, as I said to you in my pm reply to you, I think an Atkins inductions might very well help. It just might give you the kick start that you need.
There are people on here on many types of low carb diets. Whatever work for them (or you) is fine. That's why George calls his Stella Style, that's what worked(s) for him & his family. Even George started out with Atkins.
Try the Atkins induction, and see if it helps. I'm thinking it might.
Remember you need protein! Too many sweets, could be a culprit for you, especially starting out. Too much of a good thing can hurt. _________________ Billie

I'm starting back up, thinking the SS might be good, but maybe I should lean more toward the high protein.... eggs, a block of cheese and shredding or slicing as you want, hamburger, steaks, seafood, pork, etc. Lettuce, and the veggies allowed. No fruit to start?
Question: can you add pepperoni to that? I love sliced pepperoni, cheese and a tad of pizza sauce... is that okay?
Does this make any kind of sense? I hope so. |
