As I sat at my desk this morning, contemplating my hardboiled eggs and 3 measly cups of lettuce waiting for me at lunch, I decided that Atkins is way to restrictive for me. Especially with the vegetables, I like my vegetables and really have a hard time limiting good, healthy food like that. So I have decided to drop out of the challenge for now. I'm taking a day off (I REALLY need to go grocery shopping) and then am contemplating doing a couple of weeks of South Beach Phase 1. After that, I'm not sure. I may just do my own thing. I think that I need to do what is best for me. I am in this for the long haul, so I need to do something that I can sustain forever. If I am this desperate to quit after only a couple of days, then there is no way that I would make it the entire two weeks of induction. I'm hoping that I can make it through two weeks of South Beach. At least that plan doesn't limit the vegetable, so I can nibble on them whenever I need to.

Awww Sad you don't have to follow Atkins for the challenge Patti. But if you're not ready, that's fine, WE'RE HERE FOR YOU when you are okay?

Atkins is very restrictive on what foods you can eat, so if South Beach is what you wanna follow, then go for it!! I say follow the program that works for your lifestyle. There's no sense in following a program you don't enjoy... all that does is set yourself up for failure. If South Beach works for you, THEN GO FOR IT!!

Gluck, always know that we're here for you regardless of what plan you follow.

Thanks. I'm going to try to start South Beach once I am able to get out to the store.
