Hi Guys!

I tried to do a search for some beef jerky recipes but the ones I came up with all had worchestershire sauce and I'm trying to avoid the corn syrup! Does anyone have any low carb jerky recipes that they would like to share???

Thanks!

Sam

I don't have a recipe, but if you know where a Love's Truckstop is, and I think there's one a little east of Knoxville on I-40. They have real beef jerky you can buy there. It is a little pricey, but oh so good.

This is real beef, smoked and dehydrated with excellent seasoning. I eat it all of the time, especially when I'm traveling a lot.

Hey Mark, I do know where that Truck Stop is! Thanks for the info.

There's a internet site (Luther's Jerky - website is www.jerkyusa.com) that has some great, sugarless jerky as well. It's all beef and really has a great flavor.

Truth be told, I'm just looking for a reason to use our dehydrator. I bought it 3-4 months ago and I've only used it once!

Hope you're having a great Sunday in sunny Florida!

Sam

Oh man I love beef jerky. My brother, sister and I can be bought with beef jerky. It is money to us. My brother goes deer hunting every year and sends me a gallon bag of venison jerky which my husband has to ration out to me, literally, or I'll eat the whole bag in one sitting.

I don't condone his shooting of innocent creatures of the forest but he's gonna do it anyway so I might as well eat the jerky, right... Confused

I don't have a dehydrator simply because it would be too dangerous. I can't imagine how much jerky I'd be eating if I had one...

Anyhow, I don't have any helpful recipes~it's just that this topic struck a cord. Personally I like plain old salt and pepper on mine. And I know you're supposed to get lean beef so that it doesn't get rancid but I LOVE the little pockets of yummy fat. Plus it's never around long enough to go rancid at our place...

MMMMMMM....jerky......

i found www.BeefJerkyRecipes.com and it is a GREAT source for people looking to make their own jerky. They have what seems to be millions of recipes that are all searchable by: meat type, flavor, and even your method of preparation. You should find everything you are looking for there.

Good luck! It isnt as hard to make your own homemade jerky as many people think.

i used to make them for the kids all the time BB! I can't remember the recipe tho. I know it used jello, SF of course.... I remember using SF apple sauce in it, but I can't remember if there was water in it. I'll try looking it up when I get home.

My dehydrator only has 2 trays for the rollups. that is pretty much one serving a piece for my little monsters! LOL As soon as I'd make it, it would be gone.

i just found this site....

YES, you can make fruit roll ups in a dehydrator! Ours came with a special pan just for the rollups! We haven't tried making any though....

We got ours at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $70. We frequently get coupons from them in the mail. I'm sure if you went online to their site, they might have one there.

I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to say I went to this site and have my first order on its way. Thank you!
