|

I've decided to start induction again - beginning Monday morning. I am losing but it is incredibly slowly. This WOE keeps my blood sugar down, so I don't think my diabetes is a concern - and I need a kick in the ___ (head) to get things going.
I am planning to post here often, just to keep myself honest - and will appreciate any and all support and advice you all have to share. I have too many things I want/need to do, and I've got to get myself in a better place to do it! I'm really frustrated with my lack of progress right now.

We will help you, Joyce! Everyone needs help. I know I do! You can do it and we will be your cheerleaders.
Glad to hear your blood sugar is even.
I recommended this place to a friend yesterday with diabetes. I think this will help.

| I'm starting induction tomorrow for the first time in 7 years. I wish you luck! Oh, and if you stumble upon anything tasty to eat, let me know, I made a big mistake in the kitchen tonight... |

You've got me curious now, Susan. What kind of big mistake did you make? I hope it wasn't anything too drastic.
I did pretty well today. Carbs = 24
Ate baked chicken and salad and broccoli
I'm going to see how I do with drinking Diet Pepsi ......... then if the caffeine from that causes a problem, I'll have to ditch it!
Still have baked chicken for tomorrow ...... and grilled salmon, so I'm ready for day 2.

| Well, I was attempting something that I'd come up with myself. Unfortunately, I didn't have any lemongrass. Also, some little voice in me decided that adding Sweet 'N Low to a chicken dish would be a good idea. I kept adding different things to try to get the taste I was looking for and it ended up an aweful, slimey mess. It found its way to the trash can. It's lunch time and so far I've gotten to like 6 or 7 carbs so far. I think I'm doing okay for myself. Tonight I'm having salmon and brocolli, so that should be wonderful! |

Hey Susan ....... when I "invent" something that goes wrong, I act like I'm upset and say to anyone who will listen, "Well, I won't be trying THAT recipe again!!!" I never admit that I just screwed up something. lol
Tuesday was a success - Day #2. The heat is difficult, so I'm staying by the AC - but getting antsy because I love to be outside. I have a deck with flowers & bird feeders and shade in the morning and evening - but the heat index is making it impossible to be out there right now. I became short of breath yesterday when I went out .......... kinda scary!
Looking forward to Wed. and another successful day!! I have baked chicken available and asparagus and salad - ready to succeed!
Hang in there, everyone & we can do this!
