Hi All - I'm back from a serious out of town carb bender Evil or Very Mad and need to keep motivated to get back up and lose the next 14 lbs (my next mini-goal).

I'm proposing a daily check-in here on this thread with anyone who wants to join me. Post your own goal(s). Very Happy

For me: Low-carbbin' it with no cheats, 3-4 exercise sessions per week, and a goal to lose the next 14lb by Dec 15.

Jen

so far so good. made it through the party last night eating some cheese, smoked turkey, raw veggies and some meatballs. No wine, had sparking water instead. Made chicken and salad for dinner. Ate healthy today too. despite being out of the office. Heading home now and realizing that if I'm going to get three or four exercise sessions in I need to get going tonight!

Jen... I'd love to join you in your challenge... it's just what I need. I've been MIA from the forum since January for various reasons, so it's back on track for me too! My start date was 10/03/06 and I weighed in at 223. I've been doing a modified meat/egg fast to jump start my ketosis and as of this morning I'm at 217. The challenge I'd like to place on myself is NO CHEATING. I want to get back to exercise as well, but for now eating legal will be my goal.

BTW... GREAT job making it through your party safely! Birthday WOO HOO!

Thursday
B = 2 c coffee w/liquid splenda & lite crm, 2 hb eggs
L = grilled burger w/jack cheese & bacon, mayo on the side
D = grilled steak (my DH is the MASTER of the grill!), lettuce w/italian
S = 3 oz cheese

Hi Jen and Shannon, I'd like to join the challenge too. I'm leaving today for a driving trip (6 hours) to the central coast of CA to visit my Mom. I'll be back online on Sunday. I have low-fat cheese sticks packed, some strawberries, water bottles, good music.

Shannon, the first 6 months of the year has been a rough one, huh? Take care. Glad to see you posting again.

Hi Shannon and Sammy!

I was away from my computer yesterday so no post - but really glad to have you join in the challenge! It great to have some company.

Things are still going well. No cheats and I got in 2 twenty minute walks yesterday. Today is going to be more challenging: its going to rain all day so I either need to got to a mall to walk or use my "stepper". Still going to do something!

Eating has been going well too. Have made some good choices: made some low carb protein almond cookies in case I get tempted by sweets. Have been eating roast chicken and pork and salads this week, including a chicken cobb salad when I ate out last night.

Working from home today so I have a breadless bread pudding in the oven and will make a beef stew in the oven later this afternoon - I'm having cauliflower with mine, Very Happy the DF is having a potato.

Sammy - best of luck on the road, sounds like you have planned ahead which is a great idea!

Shannon - your meat and egg fast start is inspiring! I ate eggs and some nitrate free bacon for breakfast this am and was actually missing eggs - had not eaten any all week.

Tomorrow is my weigh in measurement day (you can check out my blogs on my profile - I usually post on Saturday mornings). Not expecting to lose this week - just hope I did not do too much damage last weekend.

Jen

Jen... I'm kind of straying from the meat and egg... very few veggies, but as I mentioned before, I HAVE to cut out the cheese. HMMM... breadless pudding, beef stew and almond cookies...YUMMM... I just love this wol, don't you?!?!!

Well, I'd best get back to work... have a GREAT Friday! Crazy

Happy Saturday fellow challengers! (Sorry, feeling kind of kooky this morning! LOL)

Anyway, I really think I need to cut out the cheese.. I've been doing a modified meat/egg fast since Tuesday and my ketosis shows just a trace... think it's gotta be the cheese. So I'll cut it out and see what happens!

So, as for my menu for yesterday...

B = 3 c coffee as usual, 3 hb eggs (I was hungry)
L = Boars Head chicken roll ups w/mayo, avocado, garlic, salt & pepper
D = rotisserie chicken
S = custard cup w/ 1oz of black walnuts and davinci sf butterscotch syrup

I'm making a red clam sauce today with sf tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, onions and peppers, and of course clams... I'll have it over spagetti squash... yummm....not meat/egg, but I'm craving some REAL food, so I think this fits the bill!

Have a great day ladies!!!

Good morning!

So far so good. I did go and walk at the mall yesterday even though the rain looked like it had stopped. More important to me, I watched the DF eat a choc shake, Evil or Very Mad and although I was a bit annoyed, Mad did not indulge in anything sugary myself. Very Happy

Gonna add my menu from yesterday (assume min 64oz water during day)

B = 2 eggs, 4 slice bacon, daily supplements
L = chicken salad with curried mayo dressing, over lettuce, afternoon supplements
S = 1 oz pecans, breadless bread pudding, SF coolaid
D = beef stew, steamed cauliflower, more pudding!
E= 45 min walk

Today DF and I will walk again (maybe when he wakes up!) For dinner I'm going to make a lc broccoli casserole and probably eat leftover stew.

I am down another pound, some measurements shrinking, but the hips have been stubbornly holding on! Gonna need to keep at it. Very Happy Have a great day all! thanks for joining in!

Shannon - think of you as you give up the cheese, 'cause that is tough for me too. I'm trying to eat less dairy...that pudding was too good tho'!

OK... I've been lurking much tooo long and need to join as well!! Am starting today as well... Debby, you and I are about in the same boat.. I have fallen off the wagon and gained Sad so now it's time to turn it around.

Have been doing regular exericse -- everyday on the treadmill and wieghts 3 times a week. Just like those sweets too much -

Today - B - 2 eggs and 1 coffee
L - tossed salad with chicken salad V/O dressing
D - steak on the grill and a veggie (broccoli?)

Will want a sweet of some kind tonight while watching the Ne/Ia football game.. Maybe that breadless pudding will have to be made!!!! Wink

Shannon --- Am glad to see you posting as well. I know when I was loosing before, I was not able to do as well when I had cheese. Just my two cents worth..
Enjoy the weekend gals... It's great weather in Nebraska.. Am actually painting my front porch floor this afternoon.. Smile That should count for a little exercise!!! Take care.. Very Happy

Hi Debbie and Kath!

Glad to have more company here!

Go for those LC sweets when you need 'em. I have some LC almond cookies in the freezer too. The pudding is surprisingly filling in its small portions, although next time I'm going to bake it in individual custard cups instead of a big pan. I think it would look nice in a little cup.

I'm making up my menus for the week and trying to come up with something for snacking during football tomorrow. Might try a LC cracker recipe or George's Bueno Jalapenos sound really good. I gotta keep my cheese intake in check too - might cut back and add some chopped veggies in this one.

Have a great weekend - it fall here finally. Chilly and rainy. hummmm maybe a soup tomorrow.

Geroge's Bueno Jalapeno's are a MUST at some point.. They are very good... served them to Non-carbos people and they really loved them. So give them a try!! Kath

Good afternoon all!

Well I must have really needed it because I slept for 11 hours! Now you can see why I rarely eat more than two meals on weekends Wink. Anyway, things are going good. Other than the exercise thing, it rained on and off yesterday and I spent most of the day working...crummy excuse but things look nicer today so I'll be out and about. Meals yesterday:

Brunch= 2 scrambled eggs with hot peppers, 3 br sausage links
S = breadless pudding (this is why I never make desserts - the DF won't eat the LC ones so I eat them at every meal or they go bad...), 2 oz of mixed nuts during movie
D=leftover beef stew and cauliflower

Today:
Brunch= breadless pudding and 3 sausage links
L= hot wings, bluecheese dressing and celery - the DF was asking if we could order some for the afternoon games. We have the best wing place nearby and they don't bread the wings.
S=LC Almond cookie and SF decaf vanilla Chai
D=leftover beef stew over cauliflower

Going to go out and do some grocery shopping later. Might still pick up the ingredients for poppers - could have them later in the week. Have a great day everyone!
