I`ve tryed & tryed to put a new pic of my daughter on my avatar,next to my posts.No pic.Can someone please help me! Thanks, Debbie

Debbie, No pic yet.

It may be too big. Check the post in the help file by dinah asking about resizing pictures.

I'll try to help, but need to check some things out first.

Maximum size is 100x100 pixels and 49KB.
You have to either have the pictures in the photo album here, or on a site like photobucket.com or tinypics.com.

OK so I see you have her in the picture album. She is very pretty.

Now let me think. You may have tried this already, and maybe it was only the size issue, but here goes.
Go to the home page. Click on "My Panel", go down & click on "Edit My Settings".
Go down to the "Link to off-site Avatar:
Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image you wish to link to." Copy this link & paste it in the box. http://stellastyle.com/community2/forum/album_showpage.php?pic_id=335 This is the link to her picture.
Click submit, and hopefully I told you everything right.

Thank you, Billie. Still no picture.I have tryed everything.And Thank you,I think she`s beautiful too.I had no problems putting my pics everywhere else,once I made them all smaller(800x600) I don`t know what`s wrong.

Sorry you are having such a hard time with the pic. I did see when I went into my settings to check it out, that the picture for the avatar cannot be larger than 100x100 or 49kb. That may be your problem.
Resize & save the pic to those demensions. then upload it to www.photobucket.com or tinypics.com. I like using photobucket, as it stores my pics that I upload. So I can go there to get them to use again, if I want.

Sorry I was so late finding your response.

Edit: You do have to join photobucket, but it is free.

Yes, I use photobucket also! It's really great..it makes your pictures thumbnail, message board size, and avatar size...and every other size!
Then it gives the html codes to just copy and paste!

I'm having an awful time getting my photo in..I have photobucket too, and I'm sure I've tried everything, or think I have Embarassed

Zoe, Which profile are you trying to put your picture in? Both? They are completely different places where you add them.
Or were you trying to post pics in the photo album section?

Did you size the pics down if for a profile pic?

Can you tell me what you did?

Hello Billie Smile

I was trying to add a pic to my avatar...Although I realize now that I have to resize it! (thank you)...

Instead of my adding a pic to my avatar..I'll put the pics in the 'album'

once I down-size the photo's..how do I add them?? My goodness I feel like a real DAH person lol ..I hate bothering you..maybe I should do more reading and figure it out for myself lol..

Hi Zoe, If you plan on putting your pic on your avatar, it will have to be only 100X100 pixels in size. And you will need to have them online on a site such as Photobucket.com. (there are others as well)
If are going to put them in the photo album, then they can be 800W X 600H, and you can upload them from your computer.

To upload them to the photo album, go to the photo album (http://stellastyle.com/community2/forum/album.php), then choose which album you want to post in. Click on that album, then click on the "upload pic" button. Then fill in the blanks, and click browse to find you pics on your computer, find your pic, and click open. Then hit submit on the bottom of the page.

Go up and read the posts on this page, and click on any URL addresses for other threads for help.
