Choufleur (Cauliflower) au Gratin...

I've been asked to do this by my family almost every week for 2 years now... this is my first recipe here so please bear with me...

I head Cauliflower whole
1 cup of mayo
1 TBLS mustard
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar)
paprika

Cook the whole cauliflower in water for 20 min.
In a bowl, mix all the ing. except the paprika

Take the cauliflower (whole) and put it in an ovenproof dish, add the mayo mixture on top evenly and sprinkle the paprika on top...
Cook at 350 for 20 min. or until the top of the cauliflower is golden brown.. Et voila... a nice dish that you can put on the table...so pretty and sooo good... Enjoy... Very Happy

I'm sorry about the delay... ordinary yellow mustard is what I usually use ...

This sounds really good but I am not that familiar with curry, what does it taste like. Am I dumb or just not remembering it? Duh, y'all know me. Thanks for the advice and recipe Helen, David Wink

David, Curry is an Indian seasoning, if I'm not mistaken. Personally, I don't care for it, but this recipe can be made without it.

For some reason, me and curry just don't see eye to eye. My boss loves to drag me to this one Indian resterant, and even though I've never met a food I didn't like, I did when I got to Indian food!

My kids didn't want to try this, cause they said I called it Cauliflower "all rotten" LOL Laughing

That's funny Dinah...LOL... the original recipe didn't have any curry in it but I love it so much that I did added to it... So there...you don't have to use it... Cool

Hi David,

Curry is a blend of spices. Savory, sweet, a little hot.

My jar says cumin, turmeric, coriander, chile, mustard, cardamom, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, cayenne, cinnamon, black pepper and saffron.

Try it, you'll like it!

I make chicken salad with finely chopped or ground cooked chicken, a little minced onion, coarsely ground toasted almonds, mayo and curry. Mmmm Mmmm.
