Any form of movement is good when it comes to weight loss. I look at it this way, all day long we burn calories, even in our sleep we burn calories. Anything I can do to speed up the process is a step in the right direction.
Stretching alone is a great way to raise the heart beat a little and burn some extra calories. Resistance bands are the same even if laying down doing them!
Anything you do extra will pay off in the long run! I am a firm believer in this! _________________ Jason

| Jason, I've recently got back on my treadmill. Gradually trying to build up to running. I've been doing a ifit 30 minute aroebic program that varys from 2.5mph to 3.9 mph and up to 5% incline. In the past i have had shinsplints when I ran, so I'm trying to avoid that. By posting I now have some accountability to keep me going. Thanks, Ed |

| Well, after posting I had to get off the couch and onto the treadmill. Tonight I did a 30 minute program with a max speed of 3.5 mph and a 8% incline. did just over 1.5 miles. Highest pulse was 128, so tomorrow I'll pick a slightly higher speed. Ed |

Wow Jay, running on the treadmill...you, and all of those that have gotten to that level, are my heroes. I just started going to a new fitness club here and had a consult with the personal trainer. He has me doing cardio and weight machines... the most I've done on the treadmill was 55 mins. 3 miles at 3.5 mph. I see people running on it and running up the stairstepper and I am dreaming of the day I'll be able to do that!!!! I'll have to keep watching your posts for inspiration!
Hey, I'm a fellow Chicagoan, transplanted to small town Iowa 5 years ago. I have tons of family and friends back there and get there many times a year to visit. I grew up about 2 miles west of Wrigley Field and stayed in that general vacinity over 40 years. Great to see another Chicagoan doing LC...Keep up the great work!!!!
