Gees, Dinah, since you started this challenge...I really think you should be keeping a record or score card of who is on board, what day they started, what starting weight, etc.....
The challenge is to do Induction for 14 days, correct?
For me, Dances With Birds, my official starting date is Aug 20 at 216.5 lbs. Weighed in this morn at 4:30 AM

Well, I guess I could keep "score" for everyone, but I don't think that is what this challenge is all about. I guess what I'm trying to say is, we are each challenging ourselves, and we have this "soft spot" to come and share our ideas, frustrations, meal plans, etc.
Some folks might not be willing to share their stats. It's very personal to some people. And then there is the "competition" thing. this is NOT a competition, and here's why. I'm 5'7" tall with about 40 lbs of my "last" to go. There might be someone who is 5"2, just beginning to SS, and needs to lose 20 lbs total. How can you "compete" on that level? Hope this makes sense.
BUT, that being said, this is my opinion. If everyone wants me to "chart" for them, then I can do it easily in Excel. (I'm kinda good at excel since I use it every day, practically all day!)
Up to you'ens. Let me know, post your stuff. If not, lets just be here to support each other!

great response.. i think this whole site and this challenge is really a great place for support.. i think it i felt like this was a contest i woudlnt want to follow thru.. (not very competative of me is it) but i feel like we are all here to help each other support when we are having both good and bad days..
this is the start of day 3 and i feel good bout it.. i had sausages for breakfast, ham and cheese will be for lunch.. and if the meat lasagna is defrosted if not burgers again...
how is everyone else doing.... _________________

Su, I worry about you not having any veggies at all. Where are your "good carbs" coming from???? _________________ Dingie Dinah

Down a pound since Saturday. My menu looks like this for today:
B- 2 wonderfully warm cups of black coffee....
Nothin' else, I hit the ground running at work, looked up and it was 11am
L- Generous slice of meat lasagna
cauliflower w/ butter
asparagus
D- (subject to change)
3 small chicken thighs
Spinach
I haven't had time to factor in snacks, but don't think I'll really need them right now. Maybe soon....
What's on YOUR plate today????? _________________ Dingie Dinah

This is a great idea, and congrats on the pound Dinah!! A pound down is a pound gone!! SU, you've got to have your veggies. Even if it's a salad everyday. That would be better than nothing. Please eat your veggies!! They really are good, and oh so good for you.
Take care & have a great day!

Su-I have the opposite problem-I love veggies so much, I have to try not to eat too many this next 2 weeks.
So far today, I have beaten my addiction...
Hi, I'm Erin and I'm a 1/2&1/2aholic
Anyway, so far today has been 40 ounces water, 20 ounces iced raspberry tea, fried eggs and sausage for breakie, and asian beef soup for lunch. Dinner is supposed to be beef stirfry-cut it all up for last night, but mom cooked. It's great living next door to her and she is FINALLY coming around to the fact that I am not eating carbs. (Not that she doesn't try to tempt me EVERYDAY! )
Dinah-thanks for the offer to chart stats-I think I'll pass though. Just really love the support and having a place to vent when I feel like eating evil sweet things!

I have eaten more veggies this go at low carb than I did last time...other than an occasional salad and mushrooms thrown in here and there I was like Su...no veggies.
This go around I have eaten more...because I LOVE broccoli and cheese I am even starting to like plain ol green beans _________________ ~ Denise

Well, here I go. I started today.
I had tea with 2 tbsp. soy milk and 1 splenda and a large glass of Crystal Light to swallow the psyllium fiber horse pills I take. Ugh! but they work so I'm taking them.
Snack time at work- I had made a spaghetti sauce with ground beef, italian sausage, green peppers, mushrooms and a little onion and diced tomatoes in sauce. No extra sugar. I took a cup to work and added some shredded cheddar (did it myself to avoid that potato starch that's in the commercial stuff) ate around the tomatoes so I didn't have too many. I drink water like crazy. I probably had 4 of those bottled waters - 2 cups in each bottle.
Lunch- 2 cups romaine lettuce with a few slices of seedless cukes,
10 green olives, shredded cheese and Ken's Creamy Caesar - 0 carbs!
Glass of crystal light.
Had a cup of herbal tea at 4:30
Got home had 2 slices of ham with 2 slices of swiss cheese.
About 7:30 I cooked up 2 lean pork chops
sauteed a few mushrooms and a few slivers of onion for the chops.
Diet jello about 8:30
I'm good for the night.
I think I did ok.
I made the spaghetti sauce before I decided on the challenge but I still think it was ok.
Sorry, I always talk too much
I'm just happy to be back with you guys comparing meals to see if I'm doing it right. Whatever works.
