I made this for the 2nd time (so far lol) and I am getting the knack of flipping the crepes now, yay! Smile I wanted to post a photo here to show you that even an amatuer like myself can make them look pretty darn good. Oh and they taste even better than they look. If you haven't tried this recipe yet, get his first cookbook and try it! (I think it must be in there, I got it from the On Demand area though.) I had 4 of them(I ate one before I took the photo lol) and could barely finish the last one. I'm now stuffed to the gills which is good that will keep me going until dinner at about 7pm since it's 1:30 here now.

Just like you Bridget I was quite proud of getting the hang of rolling crepes
except I couldnt make these by myself, I had my husband making them right next to me. We made this recipie for my daughter, for dinner as she had vacationed in paris and is a big crepe fan. I used no added sugar blueberry and cherry pie filling and cream cheese. I also set out a selection of jams for the kids. My daughter likes apples. This wasnt a sit down dinner and everyone kinda called out what they wanted. The Crepe's were delicious thanks to George Stella.

These crepes are so good, and better yet, they're so versatile. You can eat them at virtually anytime.

Today, I had them for breakfast. Since it was kind of early to put whipped cream on top, I just put a bit of DaVinci's sugar free Raspberry syrup on top, and boy, did I enjoy this breakfast. And they're sweet enough on their own, so really don't need the syrup.

Here's what it looked like on my plate (with two strips of bacon I had left over from yesterday's dinner)

Oh Anne, why must you torture me???? those look fantastic! I need to make those more often. I even went out and bought an Emeril Crepe pan just for these.

I'm jealous!

Dinah,

I was searching for just the right non stick pan, but wound up using my regular Cuisinart stainless, and after a spray with cooking spray, it was just fine. Nothing stuck at all. I didn't even use hardly any of the butter, although I'm sure that helps with the flavor too.

We made George's Quick and Easy Crepes this morning and they were fabulous, very light and a nice refreshing change for breakfast. We topped them with frozen berries, what a great way to start a winter morning. These crepes are from George's new cookbook. Can't wait to try more.

I am brand new to low carbing and to this website. Very Happy

I have requested the only one of George's books that our regional library system carries (should hopefully get it tomorrow), and I'm hoping it has the Easy Crepes recipe in it. If not, can I find it on the website anywhere? I think it would really be a huge help to me as a variation for breakfast. I really want this new WOE to stick with me and as someone who LOVES to cook I know that's gonna mean having a wide variety of options.

Hi Bambi,

WELCOME to our Stella Style family.

You didn't mention which book you asked your library for, but the recipe for the crepes can be found on page 24 of the Good Carb Family Cookbook. If your local library only carries one of Georges books, they may be able to obtain the others through a system that allows libraries to borrow books from each other (nationwide). Ask your librarian about it.

You are going to love low carbing. I myself was so against it for a very long time, but now, you won't find me doing any other plan to lose weight.

Bambi,

I just double checked, and you can also find the crepes recipe (along with many others) if you subscribe to OnDemand (see the link on top). I have it, and love it. It's the best $10 investment I ever made, because you not only get some of George's great recipes, you get the videos to show you how he does it (and Rachel too).
