Oh how I wish I could buy in the boy's section!!!!

I used to always wear Levis, but bought the 501s. Womens jeans were always way to long in the stide for me. I hate them coming up way above my navel, or hanging down to my knees!!! Shocked Laughing It is so rare that I can actually find jeans that are petite's or shorts. Most I find are only in regulars or average.

When I can finally get into WalMart again, I'll see if mine carries them. But I haven't seen them here. Haven't seen anything that didn't look like it was almost worn out before I bought them. Would love to find some in short that were the DARK blue jean. And yes, the shortest inseam is always too long for me!!!
I bought some jeans at Sam's the other day. I had no idea what size to buy. And you can't try them on there. Couldn't find anything but average. They were the low cut, so I thought maybe I could wear them, and maybe they'd just come to my waist. Well, I bought 10s cause the looked about right. Got them home. They're way too big! and the waist is a mile too big. I'll have to take them back next time I get the chance. I have no idea what size to get. Or if I will even be able to wear them in any size. The waist may just be tooooo big.
I don't know whether to try size 8s, or tell them I just want my money back. They were stretch jeans. I really hoped I could wear them.
I have big thighs too, but if I can get jean large enough in the belly & hips, the thighs are usually OK too.

HA HA last time I could wear Mens jeans I think I was about 16, my husband to be was 21 and I could wear his. Neither one of us has seen a size 30 jeans since Smile

My body is weird. I'm 5-4.5" weigh 150 and I wear a 10 in the jeans... a 6 or 8 in dresses. Obviously all my junk is in the trunk Smile

Billie at Kmart.com you can order the jeans and they have the petite length online I have a long torso and always do better with the petite but I'm sure you'll be hemming or rolling them up no matter what Smile Sometimes they have a free shipping promotion then if you don't like them you can always return them to a store so you don't have to pay any shipping at all. My actually K mart didn't have much in the was of stock.

Blue Betty, are you wearing the jeans in your after picture? They look good on you! I got a little pair of silver sandals to wear with mine. I do like my little metallic sandals! Now just waiting for the Spring Thaw!

Saw my starch loving sister in law this weekend. She is basically weighing every morsel she puts in her mouth on a very strict diet. Must be working because she has no booty to speak of now. She credits Pilates, and was commenting that she would like to get down to her birth weight which made me a bit nervous. I can see her clavcle show at this point. My husband said to call him when she is only 21 -1/2" long Smile I told her I'd save some of my Baby Alexandra's clothes for her since they are so cute.

Thanks for the tip D. As a rule I never order clothes... Too much variance in sizes. I never know what size I wear. But I suppose that if I found a pair of the jeans that fit other than they were average, and too long in the stride, then I'd know what size I needed. Then maybe I could order the petites. It's a thought.

I have several pairs of jeans that are 7's or 7/8s and fit very well (other than they are too long), and then I have a pair that say 16, and fit quite snug especially when first washed. They must be mismarked, cause as I said they are snug. When I was a 16, I couldn't come close to getting into them. I wish I know what size they really are. I've had them for years. Can't remember where I got them. They are Lee's, and are strech. I've not found any more like them. Sad

Just thought I'd let ya know, I found the jeans at WalMart. I did not like the looks of them, but tried some on anyway. They do not fit me right at all Horrible!. I really didn't like the looks of them any way. They did not have the Levi's quality look to them. They were really thin. And the ones that I did find were the type that looked dirty! They didn't have the dark ones, which is what I would have wanted if they fit. Course if they had fit, then maybe KMart would have had the dark one.
Thanks anyway gals.
So my search for good fitting jeans is still on.

If you have one nearby it wouldn't hurt to check out Old Navy and try on their various fits. They have so many cuts of jeans and some are stretch. I used to swear by their "at waist boot cut stretch jeans" but they changed the names of all of them, so now I don't know what they are called. Those darn marketers! They may one that would do well for you. If you haven't already checked them out!

Good Luck!... Smile

Nearest store is in an outlet mall about 2 hours (or more) away. I never get down there. But I'll try to keep that in mind, in case I finally do some day. Thanks.

Oh Billie I love the "dirty looking" ones....they aer very trendy right now and my walmart never has them .

I realized kamart...and dbletz recommended them before I could. My sis is the same height as you and I had a pair from Kmart that I had to give to her B/c the fam kept asking me if I was waiting for a flood. I think my Kmart sold the pieties in the store...and i really think they were Lee.....anyway they looked Horrible on my but great on my sis who is built opposite of me....but alot like you (the way you describe) I want to say that even the levis at Kmart are a totally different jean than the walmart ones. I like the thinner jeans b/c I don't wear shorts so I wear them in the summer but I find the lighter jeans alot thinner than the darker jeans. I may be worth the trip to the Kmart.

Yep D....those are the jeans in my after pic...and ya'll please excuse the top....i didn't realize you could see through that sweater and as soon as I take a nicer pic I'm replacing it..... Embarassed

I went into TJ Max yesterday, actually looking for some DaVinci syrups. Sometimes they have a few, and sometimes I luck out, and they have some flavors I'd like to get. Well, tho they did have a lot of Artisan, they didn't have any DaVinci. I've tried the Artisan several times, and it is always weak, so I didn't buy any of that.

Then as I was leaving, thinking I'd go out empty handed, I cut thur some of the isles. Lo & behold, there was a jeans sale rack. I stopped thinking I wouldn't find anything, but looked anyway. I found some petites!!!! I found some 6P, and decided to go try them on. After trying those on the other day, I thought maybe I could wear them. I also grabbed 1 pair of 8Ps. I took them to the fitting room, and tried. The first pair I tried on, was really snug, but I could wear them. Hopefully, I'll lose some more of this flab. The 8's were too big! YAY!!! So I ended up buying 2 pair of blue jeans by Sigrid Olsen. They were supposed to be just below the waist I think, but they come to my waist. Then one pair of beige Gloria Vanderbuilt. When I got home I was looking at them, and one of pair of blues were actually 4Ps. I couldn't believe it!!! (That was the pair that was realllly snug.) They had them on a 6 hanger. I did think I had checked them tho and they had said 6, but guess I either missed checking inside them, or just couldn't read! I can't believe I could even get in the 4s. Course they are stretch!!
I do have to wear them with tops on the outside, cause they really let my belly poke out, and actually accent it, but I usually do that anyway.

And, since they were on clearance, I'll probably never find any more. But I have these. Odd thing is, I had looked in there before, and had never even found them before they went on clearance. Maybe I was looking in the wrong part of the store. But, I'd much rather pay $5.00 than the original ($88 suggested retail) or 19.99 TJ Max price for the Sigrid Olsens, or ($24 for the suggested retail) 14.99 TJ Max price for the Gloria Vanderbuilts. (They only had the one pair of these). And I think I got the only ones of the blues my size too. Tho they may have had more of the 4's. Like I said, I didn't know I got 4's & could wear them.) (I had even forgotten that the GV's were only $3.00)

Remember C-L, I am shorter & smaller framed than you!!! And I really wasn't even sure if I could even wear the 6. Also remember I sait the 6's fit pretty well, and the 4 is VERY tight. In contrast, the pants I was wearing before starting this WOE were 16 & 18s!!! They weren't petites. I just filled them up! It is hard to tell in my before pic just how big I was. I didn't have many pics at my largest weight.

I had totally missed your last post (Jan 25th - just before my post). I didn't even see it when I came in and posted this morning! Shocked
These jeans are thin like the Levis Signatures that I saw. Like you said they will be good for the summer months. They will be a little airish up here during the winter. The GV's are a little heavier, tho not a lot.
The blue ones I found and got yesterday are fairly dark. More what I like. Yes, I know the "dirty" look ones are popular now, but I'm kinda old fashioned. I like my new clothes to look new, and my clean clothes to look clean. (Guess the fad look can have it's advantages sometimes tho.) Laughing
I don't get into KMart often. But maybe one of these days I'll go in and take a look at their jeans.

The nearest Burlington Coat Factory is in an outlet mall abuot 2 or so hours from me down in CO. I think I have been in that mall once, maybe twice. I just don't go down there. I pass by it every time I go to the Denver airport, but never have time to stop on the way down, and when I do have time coming home (not always), I tend to miss the exit. But thanks for the heads up.

Billie, sounds like you got the deal of the century! Now is a great time to go shopping too. I'll have to check out TJ. Although I won't be checking out the size 4s Very Happy Congrats that is cool!

Blue Betty when I saw your picture I thought " I should wear my cardigan like that, it looks very nice" I had forgotten about making it into a v neck. I was searching for a V neck black sweater and I have a black cardigan. Problem solved! Didn't really even notice the bra. Its Not like you are sporting the Madonna black bra under a white top or anything Very Happy I remember when I was in college I had a skin colored camisole that I would wear under an open work sweater and the guys in my dorm would tease me like I was being scandalous. As if they could really see anything!

I sure did. And by the time I got to the dressing room, and then the check out, I had forgotten that the GV's were only $3! So it was a wonderful surprise when I got home and looked at the tag. LOL I think that was the only pair they had. But now I wish I had made sure there weren't more. Maybe I did! I do tend to live up to my "name". The 6's deffinitely fit better. And wouldn't you know it, for some reason I put on a pound this week... And you know where it goes! So those 4's are not very comforable right now. I was back down a little this moring. But my belly is always the last place the weight comes off!!! Mad So..... Hopeing to lose more back off (cause I've been on a slow gain for most of this month). Crying or Very sad Not sure what's going on. Probably been eating hidden carbs somewhere. A little (and probably very little) is muscle weight from carrying wood pellet bags in, and shoveling snow. But most is fat I'm afraid!

I agree CL, I didn't notice the show thru till you brought it up. And even now it just looks like lighting.
