Well Jason, I'm afraid I let you down today. We were traveling today & then I started packing up the house. We'll be moving soon & there's lots of stuff to be packed. I will certainly try to get in my workout tomorrow as it does help to lower the bp........not to mention help with weight loss.
See you tomorrow!

June,
You didn't let me down! We need breaks from it or it gets boring! I needed to take 2 days off, as I have been sick, and still am. I am not going to push it until I feel better. Then I'll kick it up again. So no worries!

Thanks Jason. Well I went to get dressed this morning to do my workout......hubby put the dresser with all my workout clothes in the trailer to be moved on Saturday. So looks like it will be Sunday before I get back to it. Oh well, can't do anything about it now.
Sure hope you feel better soon. Take care & will post again in a few days. Have a great weekend.

Thanks June,
I am thinking Sunday might be my 1st day back working out. I just don't want to push it, then get sick all over again. That would not be fun. I'll post the log once I have though.

Hi everyone! I was under the weather also last week, I took a day and a half off from work and did nothing but sleep. Finally started feeling better on friday. Saturday I got out side and worked up a good sweat cutting wood most of the day. Last night and tonight I finally got back on the treadmill and back to my routine. Glad to hear everyone is back also, Ed |

Finally took the plunge and joined a gym. My typical workout is...
30 min on either bike/treadmill/elliptical
15 min on machines
15 min on either bike/treadmill/elliptical
I'm new at this so any suggestions would be great. I have close to 100lbs to lose, so I'm in it for the long haul.
I have been doing this since Thursday...it is now Monday and I have gained 4 lbs... rrrrrrrrrrrrr _________________ [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wrqrAmb/]

Ramsfan,
Can you give me more details on your workout? I might be able to see what your doing and lend some advice.
Thanks,

Ok...
Most of the time when I go to the Gym I start off on an elliptical for 30 minutes. The I usually go to do the resistance machines, for legs, arms, abs......etc.. I do approximately 15 to 20 reps on each machine (about 15 - 20 minutes total. I then finish up with a 10 - 15 minute walk on the treadmill.
This is new to me. I try to keep moving for at least an hour. _________________ [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wrqrAmb/]

Ramsfan,
In my opinion, I would refrain from lifting for a while. I understand that people say you keep burning calories longer. But I will tell you from my experiences that it completely slowed my weight loss, even added to it. I stick with 3 days of cardio, and 1 day of weight training (all light weights) I have dropped almost 40 pounds doing this since Nov 1st.
I would refrain from lifting just to see how and if this works for you. My suggestion would be for you to just walk or run. If your walking, start with a nice pace for 40 mins to an hour. If you are running, do what you can. As you progress, then add an incline to your walking or distance to your runs. Eliptical works too!
What I have also noticed is that interval training has worked well for me.
I hope this helps some. My goal is to lose as much weight as I can, then begin to lift and tone those areas that will need it when that time comes!
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
