Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if there is somewhere a list of the recipes that can be made in advance and frozen to be eaten at a later date. I'm looking at doing Once a Month Cooking as I'm starting full time work on Wednesday, and as I'll be out of the house at 7am and home about 5.30/6pm ish, I'll not be feeling like cooking.

hiya Kat!!!! long time no see!! Congrads on the job! sounds like a long day tho.

here are my first thoughts..... do you have a large freezer? cuz we's about to fill it up!

George's meat lasagna freezes reall well
George's meatloaf is always a hit
Any kind of hearty soup (try the taco soup, with davies tweeks)
I-Talian meat sauce

Buy boneless chicken breasts by the gross when they are on sale (just kidding) They are a quick dinner fixed a multitude of ways.

an email buddy of mine throws together a salad and puts it in gallon zippy bags with a paper towel in it to absorb the moisture and she says it lasts a long time that way. get all the air you can out of it, and if you use out of it, put in a new papert towel. she's done it this way for years.

lotsa frozen veggies in family sized bags! our kroger puts them on sale 10 for 10, and i usually stock up. grilled porkchop, chicken, or steak , a salad and a quick bag of brocolli and butter, and you have dinner in under 30 minutes!

i guess the key is planning, and that sounds like exactly what you are trying to get accomplished! believe me, i know what its like to work full time plus, and try to cook healthy for a family. without a bit of planning, you could very well go insane! LOL

good luck toots, and if i come up with anything else i'll holla back.

hugzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
