Exercise:
1.Walked down the dirt road 1 mile.
2.Did a 4 mile boosted walk with weights and strength band with the Leslie Sansone DVD.
3.Strength Training DVD with Denise Austin, Upper Body, 20 min.

I decided not to count my carbs in non-starchy veggies. I will see how this goes and if I gain or do not loose then I will start counting everything.
So for right now everything else that has carbs I will count those, including the starchy veggies. Anyone have any opinions on this?
Please let me know any suggestions on my daily menus, I like input and I like to do things right Very Happy

Saturday June 7th

B- Fillet of Wild Alaskan Salmon
Broccoli, Cauliflower
Homemade Olive Oil Spray

S- Fage Total 0% Yogurt (6 carbs)

L- Packet of Wild Alaskan Flaked Salmon
Veganase, Mustard

D- Green Leaf Lettuce
Celery, Cucumber
Vegan Ranch Dressing (1 carb)
Cauliflower stir fry
Mushrooms Baby Portabella
Ground White Turkey made into a hamburger patty
1 oz Almond Mozz. Cheese (2 carbs)

Drank all of my water and then some Very Happy And also had Decaf Green Tea sweetened with Stevia.

I take 4 bags of decaf green tea and 4 bags of white tea, add them to my ice tea maker and make 3 quarts of tea. It's like ice tea and then I add my stevia after I pour my cup. Sure, it's not good 'ol southern tea with lots of sugar, but I sure like it Very Happy

You know me, and my mentality Smile I have to get my mind out of the "low fat" way of thinking. I will check out the full fat Fage and see what the carb count is, if it is lower I will get that one. This was the first time trying this yogurt and I LOVED it Smile I mixed it with a little bit of the Walden Farms Sugar Free,(carb, calorie, fat, everything free) chocolate dip. Just enough to give it that creamy chocolate taste YUMMY!!!!
It will be like a dessert for me!!
Thanks

I absolutely LOVE the Fage yogurt. I used to get the 2% (yup, I had the same mentality) because it was so thick and delicious. Then one day I picked up the full fat version and it was just heavenly. And believe me, it sticks to your ribs. It's super filling. Try adding some walnuts and some SF maple flavored syrup...OH BOY YUM!

FYI, I found that if I buy the quart-sized full fat yogurts (Stoneyfield Farm or Pavell's are the best ones, IMO) and strain it with cheesecloth for a few hours you end up with wonderful, thick, Greek yogurt. It's a lot less expensive too.

My only suggestion is to not be afraid of or avoid the fat. It's that wonderful fat that will fill you up and keep you from being hungry all the time. Low-fat is for the birds!

Why couldn't you live in Georgia and then we could hang out Very Happy

I could use a friend like you to buddy around with. In fact my husband and I were talking about that the other night. He said I needed a friend I could go out with and talk "girl" stuff.

We have 4 kids and I homeschool all of them so they are always with me (which is great) but it would be nice to hang with a friend every once in a while.

SO, if you ever get down to Georgia to see us "rebels" please let me know and I will let you know where we live.
Or if I ever go up to see y'all "Yanks" I'll look ya up.

Thanks for chatting!!

Thanks Dinah, I think I got a lot of fat in today though. My veganase alone has 9 grams of fat per TBSP and I think I had a few TBSP Very Happy and I had 2 hamburger patties, plus 3 whole eggs, walnuts, sunflower seeds, my ranch has 13 fat grams per 2 TBSP and I had 4 TBSP total today. I did use my homemade olive oil spray for my pans. I'm not used to eating "fat" so it is a big adjustment for me. The kind of fat that I REALLY want right now is the "fat" that is in the Bryers Ice Cream Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
Thanks

Cathy,

When I have ice cream cravings, I make ricotta creme. Not exactly the same in tecture or temp but it comes close. This is if you can have ricotta. This is a single serving.

I mix in 1/4 c. ricotta
Vanilla SF syrup (or t. vanilla with 1 packet sweetner)
cream (varies, I use a little more if not using the syrup)
cinnamon
cocoa powder (if I want chocolate flavor, sometimes I leave this out)
I don't really measure anything I just throw it all together and mix really good. If I want it really creamy, I use the mixer.

If you can't have ricotta, I think there is actually an ice cream recipe in my Atkins book I would share if interested. I haven't tried it, but I plan to, it looks good.

why didn't I think of that.... George has a recipe for Strawberry (or any berry) "ice cream" in the on demand section. Frozen strawberry's, ricotta and splenda. My family was super duper skeptical, but they absolutely LOVED it!

Good luck sweetie!

Cathy,

That's too funny. I think every one of us who post our menus think that we eat more than everybody else, LOL.

Like Dinah said, some days you just want to eat a lot. When I get like that it usually means two things: 1) Aunt Flo is coming to visit or 2) I'm getting ready to drop poundage.

My suggestion is just stick to the allowed, low carb foods and eat as much as you need to. I don't know about you but what helps me is eating a couple of TBS of peanut butter right out of the jar. I know you use the soy nut butter. For some reason, peanut butter is super filling for me and after I eat it I don't feel like munching anymore.

Anyhow, hang in there and stay out of that evil ice cream.

Angie

First of all I have a confession to make Rolling Eyes

Last night I was doing so good about staying away from the ice cream, I came here typed in my day and was going to go to bed, WHEN Rolling Eyes all of a sudden the freezer flew open, Bryers ice cream jumped out and wrestled me to the floor, opened his top Shocked and threw several bites of himself into my mouth!!!!! Can you believe the nerve of him!! He wouldn't stop, THEN the bag of chocolate chips came to rescue me and was trying to pull the ice cream off of me when all of a sudden the bag of chocolate chips ripped during the struggle and spilled out all into my mouth Shocked And trust me all night long I could feel the ice cream and chocolate chips continue to fight and wrestle in my stomach all night long Sad At least the cookies stayed out of the fight Wink
