Day 2

1 hour later: 4 turkey sausages, 2 scrambled eggs with Brie, sliced tomato

L: 2 roll-ups - proscuitta, slice of provolone, fresh spinach leaves, red pepper

D: whole grain pasta, tomato sauce (home-made - NF), kale and broccoli steamed in NF chicken broth, slice of whole grain bread).

S: NF yogurt

Day 3

20 minutes later: whole grain toast, NF cottage cheese, tomato slices)

L: chicken salad (mayo, dry mustard, lemon) wrapped in romaine lettuce

D: ground turkey meatballs (onion, garlic, mushrooms, egg) fried in olive oil. Salad (romaine, radish, zuchinni, parmesan) and faux potatoes (cauliflower)

Dessert: One slice of Level one cheescake

Day 4

B: Fruit, decaf
1 hour later: leftover turkey meatball stir fried with broccoli and mushrooms, and a hard boiled egg

L: Tossed salad (olive oil, balsamic vinegar), 2 roll-ups (proscuitto, provolone, spinach leaves, red pepper)

Will be having:

Dessert: one slice cheesecake

Phew!

Thanks Foxye!

Apart from the labour of preparing and cooking the meals this is SUCH an easy way to eat. I feel like I am indulging all the time, and yet I don't feel bloated or tired after I eat.

July 5

Breakfast - 1/2 melon

Lunch: mixed green salad with boiled egg, 3 pieces of bacon, feta, tomatoe with balsamic dressing, and side of leftover broccoli/cauliflower and sauted mushrooms.
Dessert: 1/2 cheesecake slice

S: orange

D: grilled salmon, zuchinni hashbrowns (first try!), mixed green salad with dressing.

I have to say the most difficulty I've had this week is not indulging in alcohol. The few get togethers I had with friends at home or at the bar I stuck to club soda with lime. I really really really wanted a glass of wine or a cold beer but I stuck to my guns! It was good to have the club soda with lime because it was refreshing and I felt like I was indulging in a little treat at least (apart from the norm of water or decaf coffee),

Just wanted to add that I feel fortunate that I've never been much of a soda or juice drinker. Mostly water and coffee, but with my greatest downfall being the liquor.

Good for you Lissa! The alcohol will really slow you down. Keep up the good work!

I was SHOCKED to wake up this morning to discover that I have lost 3 pounds. Yay!

L: stuffed portabella, mixed salad

Last night at the wedding .... I had a couple of glasses of wine ... but I completely ate within my rules otherwise. It was a buffet so I ate a generous portion of turkey, salad and roasted vegetables. No dessert.
