Hello everyone.

I hope you are all feeling well and trying new SS foods. For breakfast I had the new Glucerna Shake cause it was quick and 11 carbs. But when I need to do that I miss chewing so for lunch I had a bowl of George's chili but added spinach (idea gotten from a SS member) and it not only made my bowl look fuller, I got some veggie's in. (thanks Cheryle) Supper is on the stove, home made chicken soup with lots and lots of veggies and it smells wonderful in here. My muffins are done so soon I will make George's stuffing. I want to start my Thanksgiving dinner list. I haven't made Thanksgiving dinner in years so I'm kind of excited. Anyone doing anything different?

It is a beautiful, windy, rainy, wood burning smells and beautiful leaves falling. I just played about a half hour with my dog Smokey fetch, he loves to go after that ball. The 2 older dogs just sat on the deck and watched and I'm sure my pug said "whatever!" But at least I got some good exercise.

GRATS:

Wonderful neighbors who are always here for us

Children, laughter, games, and watching them grow

Fresh produce, using Kale from my garden in the soup tonight

Blessings, Marylyn

We are just starting to hit a cold spell here in California. Finally out of sandals. Smile Perfect soup weather and yes I will bury lots of vegetables in my soup. I really need to learn to love veggies as is. I am just not there yet.

Your "picture of fall" sounds wonderful! I can almost smell the wood burning, the damp leaves and the crisp air.

Cheryle
