 stands for Real Simple Syndication. It allows sites to stream content directly to users which they can then view in their email, on their desktop, or even on their IPOD.
On stellastyle.com you can view recent forum posts without coming to the site.
You will need an application to view RSS feeds. There are plenty of RSS viewers or streamers out there that you can use. Do a search of the internet for RSS.
I downloaded FeedReader for free. It's kinda neat. But you should remove the RSS feeds that come with it, there's just too many. Keep any you like.
Go to http://feedreader.com/ and click on Download.
Install the Feed Reader onto your computer. Open the program.
Then click on the Add New Feed button on the top left in the Feed Reader program and copy the following URL and paste it there. (Also, you can go to FILE>ADD FEED at the the top.)
Copy this:
http://stellastyle.com/community2/forum/rss.php
Now you can check for new posts w/o coming to the site and be notified by a little box in the corner of the screen of a new post.
