I just made the stella style pizza and sauce. O.M.G. It is delicious even my husband loved it. The only thing I'll do different next time is make the crust a little thinner and crispier. Thank you Mr and Mrs Stella. This is a way of life I could stick with. Not being hungry and feeling satisfied WOW. It's only take me 42 yrs. My only fear is that my cholesterol will go up. I already have high colesterol and am on medication. I'm gonna give it 2 months and then get my blood levels checked and then take it from there. Happy Eating

by chunkymamamia at Friday January 27, 2012, 6:18

[ 2502 ]

I baked these muffins today there o.k. there filling but not enough flavor. Maybe it's because I made them with chicken not ham. I also baked blueberry muffins last night and I like those. I'm working more in the kitchen and I must say I'm enjoying it. enjoy eating everyone.

Today I tried the blueberry pancakes there a decent substitute for regular pancakes. Tonight I'm going to bake some muffins so that I've got something to grab when I'm hungry. I've made the califlower mac and cheese I love it. I've also made the garlic mashed potatoes love them too. I've taken off a few lbs. but I have to stop getting on the scale everyday it's such a bad habit. Good luck all on your journey.

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!!!!

by MeMeJZ at Monday November 6, 2006, 13:12

A new day has dawned and already set, preparing for the new day that GOD has for us. I hope we all take time to enjoy the beauty GOD has created for us.
Today was so beautiful. I was a wishing my day care babies were a little older to put in the 6-seater buggy and take outside, but they are all wee babes.
But...also when you see clearly for the first time that there is a way out of despair, you always see more beauty and more to be thankful for. I am so thankful for my co-teacher who is also batteling weight problems. We are taking different paths in some ways to loose the weight, but she is also younger and I have some other issues I am taking care of as well.
I am so thenkful to GOD for leaing me to this point. I give HIM the GLORY for all the decisions I am making for a better life-style.

I hope ad pray for each one on Stella Style to have a support system aside from here as well. Someone to talk to, someone to pray with, someone to share ideas with...however that looks to you.
I am going to go and finish my salad and Bible Study for tomorrow, so I will be back on tomorrow night.

Staying on plan in social situations....

by skigirlred at Monday November 6, 2006, 11:47

Hey all,
I have been "tested" this past weekend and passed with flying colours! Our re-cert. for ski patrol went well and this was my first year as an assistant instructor. A very good learning experience.

I pre-made breakfast and lunch because the supplied breakfast was Timmy's coffee and Timbits (Tim Horton's ... Timbits are donut balls for my American friends not familiar; Tim Horton's is HUGE here). For lunch they ordered in pizza both days.

So for breakfast I made ricottta cheese with l/c protein powder, l/c granola, some splenda and cinnamon.
For lunch I packed a lunch of cauli-mash w/ chicken and green beans. Was still hungry so I "destroyed" two pizza pieces (meat slices). Same meal for the second day (but 1 destroyed slice, not two) and had a "frankenbar" to up the blood sugar (3 net carbs). My fellow instructor said I was "hard core" when she saw me picking the cheese and toppings off the pizza the first day. I'll take that as a compliment

We went to the local bar both days after class and the first day I caved in and had one beer with my friends (didn't finish it though) and second day I had a diet coke only
First day at the bar I ordered a bunless feta cheeseburger and salad.

So I am pleased with the way I handle the social situation thing. Most people in the group know the way I eat and those who didn't sure found out this past weekend. It's all good though... I am doing this for me.
Best,
Laurie
